Outpost 2: Divided Destiny completed
Thanks, GOG :)
They made it happen! It's here on GoG! Thank you soo much. Seems that no one have noticed it yet. Thanks again for bringing this gem to GoG!
Love to see this on GOG to increase the visability of this gem. Very true Solaxis about it being available that is how I am currently playing however it being on GOG would be great as well.
Yes please, make this happen. Old RTS games rock, there is so much to do in this game, the variety. GoG 3>
This is one of those special games that now, even all those years after, I still love and when I feel like it, dig out the disc. I would and buy GOG's version of it if it comes out.
No need to wish for it, its available for free at www,outpost2.net, because the game is now classified as abandonware now
www.outpost2.net/ Its a community for people that enjoyed the Outpost games and they have them available for download there.
I've been looking for this game to come to GOG for some time now. I still have the old CD, but not having a CD drive on my current device I cannot play it. A great game from my childhood that had aspects I loved from games like Command and Conquer or Age of Mythology (another game I would love to see on GOG, but I doubt that one will).
GOG really ought to get bot Outpost & Outpost 2 in their catalogue.
It is probably due to publisher or rights owner problem or attitude that is is not already here .
Just started thinking about this classic the other day and installed it on Windows 10. It runs, but barely. I'd LOVE a GOG update, it's a shame nobody ever made something like it.
I loved Outpost 2. It was incredibly hard but fascinating. While I never played part one, I would like to see them on GOG.com.
Loved this game way back, I'd buy it if it were re-released.
After playing the demo back in the days it got me. I bought Outpost 2 and had a lot of fun with it despite its flaws. I would really like to see a re-release on GOG cause it's a really unique rts hybrid.
Would love to see the old Outpost games on GoG. Outpost 2 was the first game I played online.
A game from my childhood. First PC game I ever played, it broke the ice for me as it were. I enjoyed it immensely, sense it was my first PC game, my views may be a little biased. It certainly was unique compared to all the other PC games during that time. It's so odd, its one of those few games I can still pick up every so often. Not just for nostalgia but because that unique feeling it gives just doesn't ever go away. I tried to mess around with outpost 1 but that game is so different. Outpost2 is definitely much better, it's kind of like a remake. It is more accessible, much easier to learn, and a lot more fun. It's one of those games that I wish would be miraculously rebooted/HD remade, much like homeworld is getting right now. Just a plane re-release would be fine. I can tell this likely wont hit GOG, but if it did that would be super awesome. Maybe it would get the attention it deserves.
A bit unconventional for an RTS. The campaign feels in part like a city builder. Highly recommended.
This game is terribly underrated. A far better game than it's predecessor, Outpost 2 is named a "Top Dog" in Home of the underdogs lists, being a solid and different real-time strategy building/combat simulator. It had a solid good game guide, and an interesting novella bundled with it. Also, it's one of the hardest and most accomplishing games i've ever played.
The blight is approaching!
This game had its occasional gameplay frustrations but overall it had a fun and unique take on the RTS genre. I liked the level of detail it had and how it was more complex and involved than the usual strictly-combat RTS's. It was almost a fusion of C&C and SimCity. Too bad Sierra didn't continue the franchise; it was definitely ahead of its time and would do well with today's game design capabilities. I'd certainly pay double-digits to have this one again and I know others out there would too. Even after close to two decades I'm still really nostalgic for this game. Please find a way to bring it back for us GOG... Please!!!
played this game and did not like it. wouldn't mind having it on GOG though. the OP1 game was sort of like a city builder but had awesome concepts like underground building. this 1 was made during the hype of games like command and conquer so they tried doing their own version of the game. failed miserably. the only thing resembling OP1 is the name. focused to much on combat and there was really no option to just be able to build up a huge city on a strange planet. R.I.P. outpost 1. u will be remembered
Um, yeah, totally should be added, I guess. Love the bees, love the bees....
come on guys :)
Not nearly as good as the original, but still worth owning and playing.
One of the best RTS games I've played. Great online game play in it's time. Really hope GOG gets it.
Good game but a bit too much combat and time limit scenarios for my liking. I liked the original Outpost for the development and exploration aspects of the game.
Used to play this game a lot when I was younger. Wouldn't mind being able to play it again. Good game.
really enjoyed this game
Personally, I preferred Outpost 1.5 over all the other versions. This version started getting more into combat and less into the exploration and development of a raw world.
If there was ever a game for the scientist nerd in me, this was it. Not the greatest gameplay ever, but man were all the buildings and units science-fictionally thought out.
Underestimate sequel of the great game.
