This is an amazing game, one of the very best of its time. The story is deep and well developed. I tried to replay it recently, to share it with a friend, but my CD version shipped with a 3.5" floppy patch disc...so no go. Please bring this back GOG!
This is one of the best stories ever told in a game. The game itself is just awesome and really challenging. Truly one of the best sci-fi games to date.
LET'S HAVE IT BACK - PLEASE!!!
Legend Entertainment made this plus Companions of Xanth, and Deathgate please GOG add Legend Entertainment's games to this site
I'd buy this in a heart beat.
I played this game before and enjoyed it. It features Michael Dorn in it as one the main cast. I hope GOG adds this game soon!
Mission Critical was (and still is) one of the greats.
I still have the original game though it isn't easy to run it on modern environments.
It would be an instant purchase if GOG chooses to release it.
Please GOG !
Yes.
This is in my opinon probably one of the best original Sci-Fi stories ever incorporated into game form. The ambience and the feeling this game gives you of "actualy being there" still holds up to this day for me. This subtle masterpiece leaves you with the feeling of having experienced a profound and thought-evoking "something more" story wich is still one of my all time favourites, with an amazing ending wich has stuck with me since I first played it some 20 years ago. I'd buy it again in less than a heartbeat.
Many who have played Prominence are asking us if we ever played Mission Critical. We didn't, but now we'd very much like to! How about it, GOG?
Still one of the best hard sci-fi games to date. And a great game just in itself.
I actually _own_ this game (if you knew me you'd know how big of a deal that really is): box, manual - the whole works; it's sitting on a shelf right behind me. And yes, I would still buy it without thinking twice here on GOG...
Mission Critical was a great game. I'd definitely buy a GOG version.
This game really needs to get some exposure here on GOG. It seems to be a relatively obscure game, but it is really good. It would go perfectly with the Star Trek games that just got released.
I owned this game, sold it, then later re-acquired it on eBay. Now, I want this again! The game was amazing and the ending was so thought provoking. It blew me away. Day one if this can come to GOG....
I used to play this with my dad when I was a kid, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Please try to get this one up there.
One of the few hard sci-fi adventures (I can only think of this one, Rama, dark side of the moon, darkstar and maybe the dig and the ward) and surely the best of them all. Legend did knew how to design a game and how to write. They deserve love at gog.
One of the best FMV games out there. And Legend's last great title.
Would definitely purchase this game if it was released on GOG!
I own the game but can't find the disc
I would have been willing to purchase it here on gog if it was available.
Great game, it was great to see Michael Dorn in something different.
Yes! I like space adventures the most, maybe because the are so rare.
So come on with this one, lemmeplay!!!
Come on everyone! More votes please!!!!! This game is so awesome.....!!!!!along with all the legend stuff.
Yes please! I adore this game and would be over the moon to have an easily loaded version to play instead of having to jump through dosbox hoops to get it only partially working :-(
Please, please, please, GOG, get this gem!
would love to play this
Want this game again so much. Used to have Mission: Critical days where I would see how quickly I could run through it. I still have my original disks, but even with DosBox couldn't get sound to work, have been thinking for a while "GoG needs to bring this in!"
Yep, this game would fit nicely into GoG catalogue.
Hope to see it here, one day or another.
Awesome I just got it running using D-Fend reloaded man it brings back memories.
I have the game images I backed it up but haven't tried to play in years. I think I could get it going with dosbox but not sure.
Possibly my favorite game, thanks to some excellent writing and - surprisingly, after twenty years - nice graphics. The puzzles were all very logical, the setting was well thought out, the tactical mini-game was a nice change of pace, the MIDI music was very listenable and the ending was wonderful. The Legend Entertainment engine and the addition of live-action video date the title somewhat, but these are minor issues in what is otherwise one of the finest examples of science-fiction computer games ever written. It's a shame such a critically acclaimed title was overlooked by gamers it was first released; it well deserves a second chance to prove its worth. GOG, please see what can be done to acquire this excellent title!
This was a great sci-fi adventure game. One of the few truly "hard sci-fi" (as in realistic and serious) out there. Brilliant ideas with the ships/drones.
Also, I second Michael Dorn FTW!
I would love to purchase and play this game!
I was going to add this myself and in google-ing I found it was out there for download.
Of course, GOG offering the game would be much preferred...
One of my first games on PC, had a blast playing it with my brothers and my mother back when I was a lil' kid. Don't care what it will cost me, if this shows up on GOG, I'll buy it :)
Great game. Add it and I'll buy it.
This is one of the better adventure games I had ever played, with logical, reasonable puzzles that don't require mathematicians or physicists. A thoughtful and intellectual romp through a sci-fi adventure...also, Michael Dorn! Get this on GOG!
I've never played this game, but I loved all the other games I played from Legend Entertainment and always regretted never having the chance to try this one too.
one of the best FMV games i ever played! Would really like to see it on GOG.
I played this game from start to finish as a kid. I could not stop! Please please please add this game!
This game has always stuck in my head. I used to have dreams about being stuck on the ship. Maybe it's nostalgia, but I feel like it had this kind of eerie 2001 feel to it. Would LOVE to play it again!
This would be an awesome addition.
I played this as a young teen. It started off as a straightforward point & click adventure in space, but then quickly turned into a real sci-fi mind-bender! I'd love a chance to play it again. How many other games can you think of where your character has to inject nanobots into his brain in order to interface fast enough with a targeting computer?
From my 15 seconds of research on Google, it shouldn't even be too hard for them to get this released barring some weird contractual stuff with the FMV -- Legend Entertainment (the developer) was bought out by GT Interactive, who was purchased by Infogrames, which was later rebranded as Atari. And since Atari already sells their old games through <a class="light_un" href="<a class="light_un" href="http://GOG.com" target="_blank">http://GOG.com</a>" target="_blank">GOG.com</a>...
One of my childhood favorites, and one of the best scifi stories ever told in a game. The puzzles all made perfect sense in the context of the story, and served to drive and uncover the plot. It was a rich and believable world, and I would love to play it again.
I really thought no-one else had herd of this game, I'm glad I was wrong! Michael Dorn FTW.
