ukdeathwheel MGS3 is backwards compatible from the Xbox 360 HD collection. If the Xbox 1 can emulate the Xbox 360 environment to play this surely even a mid/low end PC could do the same?

rosezstuff I only own one copy of Metal Gear Solid 3. As apposed to my 6 different copies of MGS2. This one is hard to get multiple copies of. If you were ever to manage to port this to PC, I'm buying asap.

JPLC I know the chances of Metal Gear Solid 3 coming to PC are unlikely considering that it never had a previous PC port (unlike Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2), but I wouldn't say it's impossible; even though MGS2 and MGS3 were both initially PS2 titles, MGS2 was able to be ported to PC, so it would seem theoretically possible that MGS3 could follow the same path. If it is indeed possible, the "Subsistence" version of MGS3 would be the ideal version to port to PC :)

bradjames just watched a play through of this game and really am shocked at how good it was. I only ever played the second one and as a kid it took me a super long time to beat. I randomly stumbled upon 3 from the ladder scene and that sorta sucked me in. I would really like to get a full experience of the game officially with computer controls.

Kelt From what I heard/read, the game developers said it was un-portable. Basically it's a mess that was finely tuned to work with the ps3 CPU, and ps3 CPU only, and it can not be work on another platform (not even ps4/ps5) ... too bad, I'd like to play it too.
Loggien This game never got officially port to PC, like never and Konami is just playing safely these days, i don't exept anyhting from them. But this game good and needs to be released someday on PC, is a shame that the HD Remastered Collection never got a PC release.

genericUNDEAD I played MGS twice in 1998 and I never finished Substance due to boredom, but I played MGS3: Snake Eater/Subsistence six times at different difficulty levels. It's the only game in the series I care about anymore.

KetchupAndLiqour Metal Gear Solid 3 is arguably the best title in the series. To not port it to PC would be horrendously stupid of Konami, considering they still have the code for the HD Edition. However, only time will tell if Konami's willing to do it or not. Just don't expect it to be the best quality, though I imagine fixes will be released to make it great.

mchngod_72826 There's a remaster of this and Peace Walker for xbox 360/ps3 and a remake for 3ds, stop whining about console exclusivity. There's also a remastered version of ZOE 2 on steam already, there's no reason they couldn't make a pc remaster out of MGS3, they don't need a goddamn ps2 BIOS for that...

Dancsi38 this is a ps2 game only, why are you guys keep asking for console games ported to PC ? GOG can not port console games to PC, first Konami has to release a PC port, then GOG can release it.
And i doubt that PS2 emulated games are accepted/legal here, you need a good emulator and a console bios in order to run ps1/ps2 games on PC and to my knowledge, BIOS are illegal if you don't own the console, GOG can not just download bios from the net to use it.
Next time, it will be what, God of War 3 and God of War (PS4) on PC ? Keep it real guys the wishlist. Forget about console exclusive games on GOG, it will never happen.
