Jamesola I would love this game on gog. In my opinion, the best option would be to port the version from MGS3 Subsistence.
MasterDarkseid Metal Gear 2 : SS never had a true stand-alone release except on Japan. The MSX version is preferable to be added. With all the content from the MGS3 subsistance version. (Infinite bandana and boss survival)(Easy mode as well).
It's a game that everyone must have definitely one of the best of the franchise with MGS2 and 3.

Mark_Cognoscenti Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake is simply one of the BEST game in the MGS universe and honestly you just cannot understand the relation of GREY FOX/SNAKE in Metal Gear Solid (first 3D game in the franchise) if you dont have played MG2 : Solid Snake on MSX. You uploaded the Subsistence version of the 1st one Now its time for the Part II .... Take my money !
zubiecup99 I already own an MSX2 (the red and black HB-F1 from MGSV) and both of the original Metal Gears for it, but I would pay $60 (I know it wouldn't cost anywhere near that amount, lol) just to have it in my GOG library, as well. MG2 is absolutely phenomenal.
JPLC Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence contained versions of both Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. The GOG PC version of Metal Gear seems to be ported from the Subsistence version, so it would hypothetically seem possible that the Subsistence version of Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake could be ported to PC as well. GOG, please make it happen :)

Douced A certain Sony company on their subscription service has the MG HD Collection which I believe has MG 2 bundled into it. You can play MG2 on PC if you want to but can't own it yet. Not done it myself so I can't swear by the availability and quality.

pcbl4ckw1ngz MG2 absolutely needs to be ported to PC! You can punch in frequency codes on the MSX original, and it plays a lot better on Subsistence (though there's inferior audio)

HolicShot However unlikely, due to Konami's grip on the Metal Gear IP and the emulation required from the superior MSX versions, I'm still going to vote and comment for this because I like all the Metal Gear games so much.
ansionnach The DOS Metal Gear was a port of the inferior NES version. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was only released on MSX2 computers, so unless GOG starts selling emulated games for other systems and signs a deal withy Konami to distribute their valuable, hard-to-find games DRM-free this is a complete non-runner. Best to just get an MSX2 and play it on that. It's a superb game, better than the new ones in my opinion!

DRM_free_fan For those who don't know - This is NOT Metal Gear Solid 2. This is Metal Gear 2. It was released on MSX over 20 years ago.

Silverhawk170485 @ Kaleion: Metal Gear Solid 3 is named Snake Eater and wasn't released for PC, Only Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 (Substance). It's a shame that the other parts of the series were never released for PC. Especially MGS 3 is very nice.
Dredd For those who don't know this is the 1990 sequel to Metal Gear released on MSX. There was no PC version of it. Those who didn't please go vote for Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and their extended releases, Integral and Substance. Those did have PC releases. Personally I'd prefer just having the extended releases but I'll take what I can get.
Kaleion Yeah, I'd buy this, though I would prefer Metal Gear Solid 3: SUbsistence, I think that included this game.
