Tiamatshade Played this in high school, then its sequel (Mech Commander 2) in college with my entire dorm floor. Miss it dearly and cannot get it to run on any new OS with standard disc installs, compatibility modes or emulators (that are admittedly a decade old.) PLEASE consider bringing back this class RTS classic predecessor to Battletech!

Alienfirefox I can install it on my machine but the mouse doesn't work, my guess is that its too old to recognise the newer laser and usb mice, I think it is looking for a ps/2 mouse with the old ball but I can't find one too try it, anyone able to try this out and let me know?

PJmichelle I just tried re-installing my old MechCommander Gold from disc. It seems to be working except I can't scroll the map with my mouse. The only way to move it is to click on the mini-map, which makes the game impossible to play. I tried everything but I can't seem to make it work. Please gog release MechCommander!

My understanding is that the source code for MC2 was released by MS. That has given rise to at least two community re-releases... MechCommander Omni-Tech and MC2x.
