Hellbender
This game was great. Impossible to find it online in a good shape!
Great game. Needs mouse support and higher resolution.
I want this game again, provided it can be made to run on a modern OS.
This game was so good! The atmosphere, the sounds, the raptors that kick fire at y...wait, did that really happen?
this game is awesome, though i don't know how i ended up with 2 physical copies either, both legit, just have to get it working now
I just found out from a guest streamer on the gog twitch channel that this is the game I've been looking for my whole life :)
Currently trying to get this game to work on a modern system.
The trial version works fine with my HOTAS, but the full game won't recognize anything but my keyboard... GOG, you're my only hope...
It sucks Microshaft just sits on these great properties like Fury3. At least we have Terminal Velocity. No source port or scene TLC, of course...
I had the shareware for this game, but never played the full product. I remember playing it right after beating Terminal Velocity.
Also wanted to add a comment - microsoft terminated both fury3 and hellbender trademarks somewhere in early 10s, meaning they're up for grabs
This and the Fury series deserve to be on GOG.
Great game as a child. I'm still upset because not able to find all Bion technology pieces and unlock the ultimate weapon! Good music too.
I'm still playing this, runs fine on W10 without cutscenes. Would be epic if true support was added.
I think I still have the disk floating around somewhere. But I fell in love with this game in my last few years of high school. It was the first of it's kind I had played and it was stupidly addictive for me! If there is ever a chance the GOG team can get this it would REALLY make my day!
Got this as a freebie back in the day... either with an old Pentium 220 and/or MS Sidewinder 3D Pro joystick. While arguable inferior to Descent I really enjoyed bouncing back n forth between Surface Strafing runs and Underground Fighter Dungeons.
Would buy w/ good controller support
This and Fury3 would be perfect.
yes add hellbender please!!!!!
i'd also love to see this game on GOG, apparently it can still run on windows 10.
A great game. I liked it even better than Terminal Velocity. AND it featured Gillian Andersen!
As Terminal Velocity fan I insist on Hellbender appearance
I used to really enjoy the demo I had of this. Would be nice to have the full game.
Probably one of my favorite games of all time.
I was only able to play the demo and this game was pretty awesome. I really hope this game becomes available on GOG.com so I'll be able to experience the full game.
I voted for Hellbender as well, but since Microsoft is not on the best of terms with GOG, and this is a Microsoft Studios title, don't expect it to be up for sale anytime soon...
I'm so glad 75 other people liked this game too!
I have this game, got it to work on Windows 7 32bit, but now I have 64bit and it does not run anymore as there is no 16bit support anymore - shame on Microsft, not even the compatibility mode works anymore. Got Fury3 to work though even under 64bit, strange or what ?
Ah yes! Summers in my youth spent on this game. Good pic for the wishlist, maybe some day I'll see it here.
If they released this game on here I'd buy a new joystick and then have the perfect Christmas present for my dad. Given the amount of votes and the fact that, as of right now anyway, GOG has no deals with Microsoft makes me think it's not going to happen. Hey maybe next year.
Most ancticipated sequel of Fury3 with full and i mean FULL support of fresh (by than) direct x 2.0 - its very rare example that game of that era (1996) utilized full potential of early-incubation direct x. But what was done - was done almost fantastic. Planets in full 3d, enemies in full 3d, missiles, shots - in full 3d. Only 2d part were pickups and billboard explosions, but besides from that - true gem of the flight action arcade shooters. Rightful rival of Decent 1 in that part of game industry at the time. Sadly forgotten and overlooked. Some minuses were included as well. Like to example - both fury3 and hellbender share same soundtrack, however - fury3 has its part of tracks in CD audio, and hellbender has other part of tracks in CD audio. However both games have full pack of tracks in lower version packed in .mod tracker music - and some track versions (obviously) were sounding better in CDDA version. But sadly, we don't have main fury theme on hellbender's cdda tracks, despite its usage ingame. and few more of them. Also - game gaved really interesting and sometimes unique architectural visuals. If you played freelancer you remember last mission with Dyson shield surrounding star and how you were in awe of its stunning construction and visual of outer space range inside of it.. Now imagine that in hellbender you constantly see small examples of such stunning visuals here and there combined into good architecture.
holy crap, hellbender... i'd even get myself a joystick again to play this one.
Please make this happen. This was the first video game I've ever played. ;__;
I used to play the demo for this game over and over and over again. I absolutely loved it as a kid. The full game on GOG would be fantastic!
If you like Descent or Terminal Velocity this is right up your alley! but its more on a planetary surface then below surface. I got the cd some years back from some tech store lol
