Klumpen0815 In the 2.0 installer it is no longer possible to play the game without the extension for some reason.
This is problematic, because the extension is the harder difficulty setting at the same time and too hard for many (especially as a mage).
Please bring back the option to play Gothic 2 without the addon.

Yajirobe777 I voted but it has past so many time and i doubt that they bring the original Gothic as a separate product or as a free installer if you buy the gold edition. I like gog and I get many games from here but the original gothic ii does not exist in their library so the only option is to buy it from somewhere else.
Cadaver747 GOG support team sent me FTP details (address, login & password) to download old Gothic 2 installer with option not to install Night of the Raven expansion. We still have legal workaround to play vanilla Gothic 2, just book a ticket to support team.

chams999 Please replace the option to install w/o NOTR. I always wnat to use the GOG installers to backup games I own, but I can't if you remove functionality.
I used to own Classic G2, NoTR, and Gold. Now you've reduced my choices.

alvorsam Bought it on GOG years ago and downloaded it today because I never finished it the first time BECAUSE OF DIFFICULTY. Now the vanilla version IS GONE!!??
Please add an option in the INSTALLER to tick off if we want the vanilla version installed.
Zayd I agree with this. We've never been told clearly why this option was removed either as far as I can tell! And the entire reason some of us got Gothic 2 on GOG was for this neat option and because so many of the CD versions had issues.

If there are compatibility issues, you can inform about them in parentheses.
Or you can provide separate setup file for vanilla Gothic 2.
I think GOG version shouldn't be inferior to physical retail version, which lets you decide - G2 vanilla or G2:NotR.
Gothic 1 is not compatible with Windows 7/8, but it is still available for purchase (good!). So... You've got the point.
