Frontlines: Fuel of War
Frontlines: Fuel of War (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frontlines:_Fuel_of_War) plays like the cheesy olde Battlefield games, but includes an actual single player campaign rather than just having instant action with bots! Frontlines Fuel of War plays like; Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, and Battlefield 2 (Battlefield 2142 is to futuristic to be like Frontlines: Fuel of War, and is much more like Quake Wars: Enemy Territory!), and these non Battlefield games which actually have a single player campaign Codename Eagle (A DICE battlefield precursor game that has a single player campaign), Hidden & Dangerous 1 & 2 , & Deadly Dozen 1 & 2! As an honorable mention it also plays like the 2006 Xbox 360 exclusive called; The Outfit! Another relatively modern game (2008) it can be compared to is called; Battlefield: Bad Company 1, but Frontlines: Fuel of War has much more open world maps in it than the single player campaign maps in Battlefield: Bad Company 1 (Battlefield: Bad Company 1 is a 7th generation of game consoles (PS3, and Xbox 360 exclusive) that is the first great Battlefield game to have an actual single player campaign (Battlefield 2: Modern Combat which was exclusive, (and still is exclusive) to consoles sucks really bad! Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is not to be confused with the superior PC game, and Battlefield 2: Modern Combat seems to use an entirely different game engine, and it is loaded with game breaking glitches which will never be patched!
I bought it back in the day, some special edition even which came with a soundtrack CD and a T-Shirt which I still occasionally wear. Sadly the singleplayer isn't very good, it feels more like a bonus to the multiplayer. The latter is fantastic, however, very similar to Battlefield but IMO a vast improvement over any BF games released before it. Now that the official servers are down there's probably not much sense releasing it here but frankly I'd gladly beat the campaign again out of nostalgia and maybe see if people still play this game online via GameRanger or something.
I forgot: I already have this game, but would love to buy an official NoCD "crack" :) And of course, the extras...
This game is so fucking awesome! It had more innovative weapons/mechanics than Call of Duty, and that means something.
