adam.a.s. Frontier Elite, and the series are some of the bast games ever made. I also love Freelancer. This is just My comment. I hope that GOG will republish these Games.
HeathGCF I would love a solid, working version of Frontier: Elite II without any doubt. If it appeared on GoG, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. In the meantime, although I can't find the link at the moment, I did play an OpenGL remake a couple of years ago that was pretty much just like the original as I remembered it. Looking around today, I found another remake with updated graphics that's in ongoing development: pioneerspacesim.net

tnxgalaxy Elite 2 is entirely coded in assembly so it will be a tough work, could be worth looking at the GL implementations made lately with C code. Maybe Elite 3 is easier technically as I believe this one is coded in C or C++. However there might be some licensing issues, not sure Frontier Developments own the intellectual property of it.

sirapacz David Brabens series is awesome - worth of trying to contact and gaining license. He should be interested because he works on new Elite sequel and i am sure he would be interested in put some seeds into market and make future customers of new game.

It was the first game that really put a dent in my social life. Would love to see it available. I have tried to play the freeware version, but I can never get DOS BOX to work right. I'm well gutted.

Geraldine Another site for you Elite fans, www.eliteforever.co.uk/ This has easy to use packages of most the classic Elite games. No need to download anything else as the games are all self contained and run fine on Win 7. There is even BBC and C64 versions available too. ;)

PSILON202 Frontier: Elite II The absolute best space simulator ever a very good game that has not yet been surpassed in terms of playability, realism and atmosphere. Come on GOG …. Do your magic put together all the bits …. Make it work on win 7 I will buy it in a heartbeat. Then we can all relive history while they put together Elite Dangerous.

Geraldine Why not have a free open source pack comprising of Oolite, Pioneer (when it's finished) and FFE3D (when it's finished too)? Having all the original games in one pack would be good too but they would have to be free :)
