mandrokk The Herbert Estate should be ashamed of themselves for blocking any re-release of Dune II and it's also excellent predecessor, Cryo's Dune. They are not only amazing and very worthy of the Duniverse, they are also gaming-milestones and an important part of our shared cultural history!
mandrokk Dune II is one of the most important games in video game history - the original blueprint of the classic and most successful RTS genre - and holds up amazing even today (Duneiverse, beautiful pixel-art, amazing soundtrack by Frank Klepecki). That it's still not available could almost be considered a crime.

breadfan So much want to play again, although C&C became ubiquitous, this game was the original and best, instead of just soldier on soldier, the Dune setting added a real storyline to the campaign, and I really miss my "rocket tanks". :)

markis I love Dune 2, 2000, etc. I really wish I could play them on this computer. I have an older computer that it works on but I really want it on my newer computer. It has plenty of replay value in it.

valepu When i was 5-6 this was my favorite game ever. I had a 286 who couldn't run it so i used to go to my neighbour just to see him play. Then we found a version who could run even on my PC and it was the best day of my life up until then

karasutono Very very very much would love this game to be able to be played again. I have a dosbox but I think it's a country modified version as it has a build limit for units and buildings that I never remembered ever being in that game. Specially given that it makes the final level facing the 3 faction houses all at once near impossible.

F4LL0UT Brilliant game. I play it once every couple of years and despite the cringeworthy interface and simplistic mechanics it's still highly enjoyable.
John Wiing It's not so much about EA not liking GOG. EA has plenty old games on GOG. The Westwood stuff though is a bit of a gray area in general and Dune especially, the owners are not keen to see their IP sullied by just anyone. But who knows, I myself hope and pray that Dune II or Dune 2000 gets added soon
