emertonom Aargh. When was this added? I somehow missed the brief window of availability, even though I had voted for this entry. Wish GOG had notified me of it becoming available. That would have been way more worthy of an email than yet another sale.
I don't even know what our recourses are at this point. We can't add it to the community wishlist, since it's already on here and marked as completed.

ondrejkubat Death Gate is one of the best adventure games I played. And I mean it, because the last (fourth or fifth) time I went through it was in 2005 I guess, and by that time I already had played Broken Swords, Gabriel Knights etc etc. The novels are excellent, the game definitely a 4/5 stars thing. And since it really is old, it should be here on GOG (and in my library, of course;)).

##@@##@@ Yes! so much yes. The book series it's based on is amazing. If you search hard enough this seems to be available on abandonware sites but I would so very much love to see it appear on GOG. This would be an insta-buy for me. I don't know how popular it was when it came out but I see it did get a few gaming awards. I would say it's very much in keeping with the philosophy of providing good older games.

Would be a prime candidate for an android/ios port project funded by Gog.com, wouldn't it..? Release the dos-version on the site, utilize the license better, etc. In any case, it is one of the better adventure/interactive fiction games made. Outside of Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island, this game is probably the most successful point and click type game out there. While many game-designs either choose between absurd complexity on one hand, and streamlined and simplistic design on the other, Death Gate had complex puzzles over a simple UI and relatively linear and well-paced presentation. So "severely underrated" is an understatement.
