Daltone Once upon a time I believed we would never get Blade Runner - but we did! The dream now is Dark Seed and its (much better) sequel
kramdl I don't know why we bother to vote. Most older voted for games will never be available ESPECIALLY the older classics we played way back like Dark Seed. Those of us getting up in the years want to play them again. There was a time when the genius' here at GOG concentrated on these older classics but now that they have shifted to games of the time. It seems like there is just not enough time to work on them anymore. Very sad...I wish it were different.

Sykes.228 The problem with this game is it was made for Windows 3 and supports only 640*480. It runs on 9x/Me but throws an error; on higher resolutions, it plays in the corner of the screen. On NT-based system it doesn't run at all and since it's 16-bit, no chance to run it on 64-bit Windows. I managed to get it running in DOSBox with Win 3.1 (or 95?) installed, but that's obviously a no-go for a commercial release. However it would be really nice to see it distributed for modern systems, definitely a challenge though.

Forget cannard, this game deserves to be played and seen, I just love that goofy voice acting so much.
mkell_226 Heh. After watching a fair amount of gameplay footage, yeah, this game's too goofy. I especially loved how the character gushes about how beautiful some of the Giger Gals are (or would be, as he said of one, "if her flesh weren't rotting off her body!) Nothing like falling in love with a giant disembodied head, too!
cannard Ever recall the time you heard "Never Gonna Give You Up" at any point before it became a meme? I knew the song before it did but I cannot remember at any point in time where I did hear it. The Internets essentially have absorbed that song like Akira's Tetsuo in his superinflated form absorbing/crushing his girlfriend in all his horrible girth. That's kind of the way I feel about this game. It's a game so obscure that when it was resurrected from the gaming dead it was met with nothing but an onslaught of memes. Nobody can talk about this game in any way, good or bad, without dropping some Retsu reference. Like Rick Astley's career, this game, whatever merit or lack or merit it may have had, should remain dead and buried and never mentioned again. Dark Seed 1 on the other hand, yes, bring that one back, especially since it's much easier to actually get running on a modern computer (DOS vs. this game's Windows 3.1 or whatever, another reason why they should forget about this game).
