THE_ROCK_CS1 I got it to work on windows 10! Download the Codename Eagle version from myabandonware.com and extract the files, then run the file "Unpack" so the sounds work, in the settings menu select Direct 3d and the game works!
Only when you save a game you get a error, just restart the game and select the save box you selected, there will be no picture but loading does work.
Brings back so many good memory's of lan party's.

Ancient Gamer I remember first time I saw this game on a LAN party. My clan and I was going around on different smaller LAN partys to win the Q3, UT and CS competitions. And one time I saw this guy sniping in some for me unknown game. Next second he is driving a motorcycle with side car. I think I forgot to breath when I slowly begun to realize it was in the same game..... So I went to my clan buddies and told them what I saw. We all walked up behind the guy playing, and stod there for like 10 minutes not saying anything. And he refuled a biplane and...OMG. 20 minutes later we all played it ;) So yes, this is a game that deservs a new life.
thejack473 i was RACKING my brain trying to remember what the heck this game was called, played it so much with my friends as a kid. absolutely amazing online features, i remember going to the blimp and just hanging out. what a great time to just fly around the mp maps just in single player as well. really hope this gets added
tomlakov So it almost works - when saving i get weird error D3DGrabScreen but it might be because of dual screen setup or graphic card drivers. Still I would play this and bought this for my buddies!

fisk0 By the way, @Dehnus, this game wasn't published by EA but by Take 2 (2K). It was only after the release of the game the developers Refraction Games got acquired by DICE and later EA.
fisk0 I actually found out it still runs fairly well in Windows 10 64-bit. I lost my CD decades ago, but found the game's install folder on an old backup drive and found out it still boots wihtout the disc (or even needing a reinstall, could just launch it straight from the backup folder), and with nGlide it runs pretty much flawlessly.
Grels I'm a huge sucker for WW1, so buying this game would be a no brainer. In addition, I actually did play this game when it was released, and remember having lots of fun with it. Would be really, really nice to see this game on the virtual shelves of GOG.
Dehnus I doubt that EA will allow it, I mean, why not play the "Newest Battlefield! full cammo, can't see a thing, enemies have to be spotted by others and everything is ultra realistic and slow. WOOHOOO!" ;)

JcGross Man, I remember playing this game when I was very little (maybe 10?) and I thought it was one of the hardest games ever made. But I loved it! It had such an eerie atmosphere it always gave me chills. Now I can't get it to work on windows 8. I've been trying for years to get it to work on new operating systems but I failed without exception. I really hope one day GOG will make this work.

abbo74 This is a great game...just got it on ebay...the solo player works with windows 2000 compatibility mode. This game should be included with a Battlefield 1942 complete collection (original game + both expansions) as this was the game DICE used as the template for 1942

aaardvarkkk Oh man -- I was really hoping this one would have way more votes. I had to sign up to vote for it! We used to play this game at LAN parties all the time, but recently we have tons of trouble with the LAN support in Windows 7. It's just not really playable anymore, unfortunately. Would love to get a solid copy of this game.

arkan01d I have 10 friends who would all buy this game if it was ever released. A horde of us used to LAN at a friends house all the time. CS and UT mostly, but once this game came out we stopped all that. It would be so awesome to play this again. We would definitely have a huge LAN party.
F4LL0UT Totally dig this. One of the most underrated games I have ever played. Don't know why it got so panned upon release. Sure, the netcode sucked so online multiplayer wasn't really possible (despite gameplay that was perfectly suited for it) and the structure of some levels in SP was kinda screwed up, making levels much harder than they should be, but honestly: the game is a blast. You've often got high freedom of choice, the vehicle physics actually were pretty awesome and it has a unique WW1 scenario. It's incredibly challenging but also very rewarding.
disgraciau This was my first FPS of my life, and today, i can't run it in modern Operative Systems. Please, add this game to GoG.com :D
