Champions of Norrath
This is the best non-diablo isometric action RPG that exists. It is truly a shame there is not a single version of this for pc, for this SCREAMS pc in its very nature. You could finish this game many times having ng+++. The enemies, spellcasting, classes, the item drops and equipment, everything was so smooth even for a ps2 game.
Please, no matter how, bring this franchise to gog!
Countless hours spent on this game as a kid. I would love to see Champions of Norrath/Return to Arms join the GOG Library. That will be money well spent.
I would pay good money for this too.
Some kind of PC version like the remastered Dark Alliance: Baldurs Gate I & II.
I'd buy this. No. Matter. The. Price.
This game was the quintessential "stay up all night with my friends" game for me. We had a 3 player co-op going, old school "sit on the couch with each other" kind of ordeal. We must have played through countless times rolling different characters and from what I recall I had an especially potent Ranger who had a multi-shot skill that up close could do some major damage. I also recall making a Shadowknight or something that could also hold their own pretty well.
I also recall being able to duplicate items and somehow allocate skill points infitely, thus breaking the game pretty hard. That sword stuck in the stone in Return to Arms? Yeah, I duped that for me and my friends. Barbarian with two of those was just insane, but it was very fun breaking the game like that and then starting new characters for fun.
This and Return to Arms would be great editions to the Gog library.
I played champions of norrath as a kid, but I can not find physical copies of the game in my country. The digital copies available online do not work after a certain point in the game (the entrance to lord Varnahost Castle). If a fully working PS2 digital copy containing the entire game is uploaded here, I would certainly buy it.
I could go on for literal ages about this game, one of my childhood favorites with a lot of positive memories linked to it. My dad's physical copy and console were both lost a while back, and I miss it, you know?
If I can get a working digital copy of this game and its sequel, it will make my day. It will make my *year*
