Totally forgot about this game 0 But watching some youtube brought a lot of nostalgia. Would buy.
This game is already supported on ScummVM since version 1.8.0 (Released in April 2016), and is probably the first title from Viacom New Media's catalog to be officially supported on that software. That's already five years ago! So this game really ought to be added onto this great store! See release news: wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Beavis_and_Butt-Head_in_Virtual_Stupidity , www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/4a2q4b/scummvm_180_released/ , www.scummvm.org/news/20160304/
One of around six well-made adventures released by Viacom New Media in the 1993-1995 period, that were either not a part of the Sherlock Holmes property nor Beavis & Butt-Head property. Actually, some of those titles, including this specific B & B title was made by Viacom's division called ICOM Simulations (Changed to another name later on before being disbanded). They're so obscure next to even the other lesser known adventures of the 1990's heydays. The licensing for them deserve to be hunted down and these games ought to be re-released on GOG. Or maybe, the ScummVM community will crack these titles for that software, so it can be sold here.
See these links: www.mobygames.com/company/rabid-entertainment-inc, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICOM_Simulations#History
That would be cool.
Why isn't this on Gog already? I still love that looping rock riff for the mini game.
Look, a squirrel!
B&B is nothing too special as a pure adventure game, though it's well put-together and the puzzle design makes sense and is rather easy. It's the interactions between these two idiots (if you appreciate their kind of humor) that skyrockets the game's entertainment value - even klicking on stuff becomes a blast when they respond with yet another stupid comment. Not only is "Virtual Stupidity" one of the better TV Show adaptions around, it may also be the best Adventure game besides "Sam & Max" which centers around a duo.
Errr... i think like.. GOG should make it... happen and stuff. Er huhuhu...
Yeah, heheheh! I'd be a buyer, buyer, BUYERRR!
I'll buy it 100% on GOG! =)
I’ve played a lot of games including adventure games over the past 30 years and this is the funniest game I have ever played. This would be a great game to release on gog.
is there any way to legally play this? I added my vote.
hehehehe... yeah, this!
I guess the problem might be in the music videos that were included with the game. They faced the same issue with the show itself, the DVD release lacks all of the music clips and commentaries.
I think it's abandonware so it shouldn't be a hard to get it up here!
Great game
When I was a kid I had a kid I casually knew from another neighborhood. He was in the "rich" area. He let me come inside his house one day and he a PC...which was unheard of around that area. He showed me this game and I was soooooo jealous. On top of that he wouldn't let me play, only watch. Now I'm a man and I can buy my own PC games. I want to prove to this kid I'm better than him and buy this game! Help me GoG.com.
That would rule! Would it come with nachos? Uh-huh-huh-huh-huh-huh
Definitely one that deserves preservation. A fantastic adventure game.
Got my vote. Used to play this a lot in my younger days. Would be a perfect game in my collection!
Dangit, wrong link :Pwww.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=M_040QuMDwE
For those not familiar with the game, here's a good retrospective review of it: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beavis_and_Butt-head_in_Virtual_Stupidity Actually a very good adventure game. I found "Do U" better!
Wow all i remember is spitting on people from the roof ... Awesome GOG get on it!!!!!!
I'd LOVE to see this happen, but I don't think that MTV sees the GOG crowd as a viable market. That being said, I still voted for it
