conquistador89 The original Battlefield (1942) is not available on the EA App (looks like they only offer Battlefield 3 and newer). I've also attempted to install several times from a CD in an XP virtual machine, and I can't even get it to load the game menu.

This Game derserve it to advertise him!

I never really played over the internet anyway though, I loved playing instant action or LAN with some friends.
SeaHeroic I can't believe that with all the newer games EA is releasing on GoG they haven't released some of the real classics like this one. This game was released on Origin for free but then they took it off for some reason, if it was released on here even for 10 or 15 dollars I'd buy it in seconds. My old CD copies don't work anymore, and I'd love to be able to play this gem again but DRM free from GoG.
Wisemenjohnny If do you have trouble on your Windows 10 system dont worry. Here comes the solution for you people: A. Be sure you activated "DirectPlay" in Windows 10.
For that do:
A1. Navigate to:
Control Panel
A2. In left part of the page click:
"Turn Windows features on or off"
A3. You can see a window named (with name):
"Windows features"
A4. Click "Legacy Components"
A5. Then select "DirectPlay"
A6. Then restart (reboot) your PC.

DubConqueror Getting it to appear on GOG has become even more urgent now that the new Microsoft security update disabled Safedisc, that is needed to make the disc version start.
dewcansam It was pulled from Origin back in 2014-05. Even then GOG is all about getting rid of drm and stuff. The Origin version did NOT have the extras and did have PB and GameSpy crap. Hopefully, the GOG version would rip out the PB and GameSpy, re-enable multi-player (since there are already work-a-rounds) and have the expansions. Since EA had already made it free and still ways of dl the Origion version there is NO money to be made on it. So, why not just turn it over to GOG ?
