Dan_Schulze I would give my life for this! Please! Please! Please! This is quite possible the greatest game ever made! What they did with it in the end was just horrible. I had 7 accounts with lifetime memberships. 17 years of playing, memories and items destroyed because of greedy corporations. Those of us in the end would of even pay monthly to keep it going, but they refused. They just horribly destroyed and took away what brought thousands of people years of enjoyment, community and fun!
I would love to see a server emulator for this. If this can't be done then at least try to make it LAN compatible so friends can play with each other at least. Even an offline version with everything in tact would be awesome!
But Please! Please! Please! Save this historic game from a most miserable, undeserving and untimely demise! Please! Please!

LootSeeker I keep wishing AC will somehow rise from the ashes as time goes on. I stopped consistently playing after the DM expansion. However, since that time I would every now and then come back to the game, to start a new character or try something new. Now that this can't be done anymore the itch to play has turned into a bad rash. I'm aware of what the AC community is trying to do with the game and wish them the best. I might try it out someday if an official version of the game fails to pop up. Until then, here's hoping for a miracle >horse neighing<. AC!
Niacus Please this is the best game ever made period, I would pay a subscription fee, WoW sucks, ESO sucks, Atlantica Online sucks, DnD sucks, SWTOR sucks, Terra sucks, SkyForge Sucks, Aion sucks, Lineage II sucks, I have bipolar and Asherons Call helps me to get emotions out and function in the real world, I have been in the Psyche Ward twice since Asherons Call closed and once when I was teen before it came out.
chutch85 Our game has been taken, our world lost. 17 years of work on my characters and I'd GLADLY sacrifice them in the name of getting our game back, I'd be willing to start all over as long as I could get back in our world and play. If there is any game deserving of being saved it is Asherons Call.

Jimbo1967 I would just like to say that AC has been and still is, one of the Best MMOs around, never before have I played a game that you can do SO many things alone, and with others, where people are helpful, and willing to do so much for a person just starting out. Wysteria Witchblade is my toon in the game, she is the monarch of the guild The Knights of Honor. I have played this MMO since Beta, started on Frostfel, after a month or so, went to Darktide, most of my friends stopped playing at that time, for whatever reasons, but not because of the game. I then started on Morningthaw, and currently play that server now. I have met many friends on that server and have had so much fun with those I have played with there. This MMO is unlike any other out there, and I have played a lot of them over the years, and I always come back to AC. Please save this game, anything you can do to protect this one of a kind MMO would be greatly appreciated not just by me, but by all of those that play now. I for one like everyone else I am sure would be willing to again pay to play this game.

Wizard_Duncan I would love to play this game again. The people were awesome, and everything about this game is one of a kind. The animations/noises when casting a spell. The way you could run and jump super fast and far and high when you got leveled. This game is so awesome. I would definitely purchase a subscription if I could.
ACg4m3rg1rl I believe that wishes do come true and I'm hoping that you can grant this one big wish for the AC player community (and new players that would love to experience the game fir the first time)! I'm keeping the faith that AC and all of the memories that we've built both in and out of game can be preserved, shared and continued for years to come! I speak for many players when I say that there is no other MMO that compares to the overall unique player experience one gets from AC. It's been a way of life for us; an immersion into a realm of possibility that got us through some of the worst and best times of our lives. That irreplaceable experience and friendships made would be missed more than words could ever express. That's why after 17 years, we still heed the call. There is so much playing we have yet to do and so much development and marketing that could be done to breathe new life into an already amazing game! Jehosheba Been playing (and paying) almost since inception. This game helped me through some difficult times in life and now is a comfortable old friend. It accommodates solo or group play. PvP or not. Very flexible depending on your mood. So if you want to run through the wilds looking for plants you can without stopping until you return to starting point. This game is a part of my family since other family members also play. After reading many comments about other games, I'm glad I never left AC. Please don't let it die. This much-overlooked title was massively ahead of its time. With ultra-tight mechanics and amazingly handled lore that is intricately woven into the gameplay, it's hard for even die hard fans to really point out what could stand to be improved upon in a hypothetical sequel. Cleaned up and modernized interface and voice overs? That's about it.
If GoG managed to save this game, I would gladly pay monthly for it. This is an underdog that, while unappreciated both now and in it's time, deserves to live on for the impact that it's had on the lives of those who were brave enough to give it a look.

Deathspawner Having sunk some 5,000 hours into Asheron's Call, I can confidentially say that it is one of the best MMORPGs of all time. It was released before the MMO genre had suggested designs (aka: no clones), when the developers weren't influenced by hundreds of similar games. With no shining example of what an MMO could be at that time, AC's developers designed an incredible (and incredibly large) world with deep, interesting lore, and (at the time) unparalleled mechanics for character progression.
As it stands today, Asheron's Call has gone without updates over the past couple of years, yet would still rival any other MMO in terms of the amount of content, dungeons/landmarks/outside area, or in terms of the satisfying gameplay mechanics. The depth of this game can't be understated. It had active content development for 14 years.
AC is a game that deserves to be saved. It wasn't just one of the "big four" original MMOs; it was an incredible, life-changing game.
