Yellow_hat_elminster This is by far the best way to play this game yet. 100% it would be great for GoG to get this.
As for those people saying this is a bad remake, tell that to all the quality of life improvements it makes to the game. Everything from waypoints being improved to the ability to research and queue building. It's an amazing improvement over both the original and HD versions.
Wickez Age of Empires II "Definitive Edition" doesn't belong on GOG. It's yet another "remake" of the, as of lately, popular "school of remakes" of the obligatory DX11 and/or neural network upscaled graphic elements.
There's no improvements included except these two elements mentioned above. If you're going to bring AoE II, then bring the original one.
ArshiaAghaei This is definitely the best version of the AOE2 title out there.(Whoever believes this is a bad "remake" - while it's a remastered version remember that most of the AOE2 community likes this version, so speak for yourself please)

AzathothAzoth Though I'll give it that it has the fancy graphics and some improved gameplay functions, DE honestly and essentially has nothing to do with the original game mainly because of its cheapass mobile game developers, and its aim being purely to milk money. The site's namesake is Good Old Games, not Bad Remakes Of Good Old Games, which also seems to be sometimes the case and that is a shame, we should be preserving the old games not modernist remakes.
