In-Network Streaming
This is a desired feature!
Please make it happen!!!
Still no news on this idea or something like?
Nvidia gamestream works well with moonlight for streaming. moonlight-stream.org/
I need it :D
No doubt this will be needed in the near future if GOG galaxy 2.0 claims to be the hub plateform that connects them all.
Agreed. This and Remote Play are the only arguments I buy some games on Steam primarily.
I want to vote a HUGE YES for this too! I use Steam Link on my iPad and it works great, but I can only access my Steam library of course. I prefer to buy games through GOG though because of the DRM free offline backups. So instead of buying games that I want to stream twice, I would love if I could just stream GOG games the same as how Steam Link works.
Just voting "Yes Please" here for this feature. I am sure it would require some serious work, but it is very useful. Thanks for considering.
I would love this to be true. I tried streaming from Steam to my Android TV it worked more or less. I guess I need a better wifi connection for my tv, then I tried from Main PC to a smaller PC that I do have connected to another TV, it worked great!
I hope that in the future I will be able to do the same thing with GOG
I would love to see this come to life, GOG Galaxy is amazing, the UI and how easy it is to add games from almost all libraries is wonderful, if we could use GOG Galaxy, like a 3.0 version to also stream games to an other computer (or even mobile) like Steam, I'm all for it. Just imagining playing all my games on my living room in a Plug&Play-like fashion makes me want it even more.
This really is a feature I need. My main "gaming" PC still runs Windows, but I prefer having Ubuntu installed on my laptops, which isn't a problem most times because if a game I'd prefer to play on my laptop doesn't support Linux I can just stream from the PC to my laptop. I ALWAYS prefer buying my games through GoG, but there's been a few games I needed to buy through Steam because of their in-home streaming support
Even if GOG just made GogGalaxy compatible with Steam, the problem would be 90% solved. In the short run, let Steam do the heavy lifting of making a streaming client. Just make Gog Galaxy look like any other game that can be imported and streamed through Steam.
This needs to happen for me to use Galaxy as much as I do with the Steam client (and probably replace it for a lot of games). As is, I have to import GOG games to Steam with the "import 3rd party game" feature and play them with in-home streaming.
excellent idea!
Just found out about that in Steam and am astonished how good it works. Playing windows only high end Games on my little arch linux laptop feels great! I'm loving it! But then one would definitly need Galaxy for linux, too.
