Game/Galaxy support for the upcoming Steam Deck

Electrolight Valve is releasing the Steam Deck in September which is basically a portable Linux PC with built in controllers. It has a desktop and will supposedly allow you to install and run other software.
Please add Linux and specifically Steam Deck support to Galaxy and include whatever Windows emulation is needed to make all out modern Windows GOG games work on this new device.

svennekrap I for one LOVE my steam deck and will not dishonor it by installing Windows on it...
My solution is to buy everything on Steam from now on (I have 100s of games on GOG).
If they consider the Steam Deck a competitor (I am NOT talking about the steam store, which is obviously a competitor) they don't understand their target audience....
If I was responsible for GOG, putting games on Steam Deck would be my first priority.
As a gamer, I have already rebought Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam to run it on my deck (so Yay for an extra sale for CDPR, boooh for GOG for making me do it)....
navara If GoG games like Witcher that run without issues on SD via Seam aren't easily playable when purchased on GoG, then that's telling me "buy games on Steam, even if they're available on GoG".
sgtpenguin12 Valve is their competitor so there is no reason for CD Projekt to directly add services to the competition. They stated they would not support it at the time. They might make a deal later on or we just have to wait for the modding community to have Windows run smoothly on the Steam Deck.
jwilki1 I have a ton of games on both. I will continue to purchase games on both platforms. I can no longer sit in front of my computer or rest a laptop very easily in front of me. The Steamdeck will be a great way for me to enjoy a ton of games. Look at it as a compliment to get GOG working and most games. If the prices are a bit cheaper on GOG vs Steam I think it will be easy to see where the money will flow.

There's no official GOG support for SteamDeck. But since the device has an open architecture, as we understand, you can install Windows and as such also run GOG games.
Nordzikas Dear GOG, this wish list is a crap representation of why you should do this. Your motivator should be that Steam Deck will likely have a lot console gamers coming. If your make your storefront and game installation convenient enough, you might just get a decent chunk of the market.
