Built-in FPS counter completed
It's nice that Steam has a Built-in FPS Counter and it would also be nice if GOG had one too.
the overlay does not yet work for every game. Some (like CP2077) are only supported if you enable the beta-functions through the client settings. Even then I don't know if every game supports the overlay.
Anyway, once you're in-game and open the overlay (I believe you open it with shift + tab) the command to show FPS is on the bottom of the overlay (something like ctrl + shift + tab).
If it does not work, the game might not be supported.
For me, this worked in CP but you have to enable FPS every time you start the game (haven't tried others because this seems very tedious)
I want to see the FPS I get on Cyberpunk 2077 and I cannot, this is not a completed feature, sorry guys.
Not completed at all...
Where can I find FPS counter ??
this does not exist! please give us a fps counter!
This is not completed.
Well I had to have a FPS counter just like Steam.
Please upvote wish here to let GOG know you want the feature to overlayed while ingame (similar to FRAPS or MSI Afterburner). Only having it while the client's overlay is up is rather useless.

Exactly please do FPS counter aviable as overlay DURING a game not only in PAUSE !
Correct me if I am wrong but the FPS counter is currently only visible when the Galaxy Overlay is focused, it's in the upper right corner of the screen. And there is no way to see it constantly?
It would be much more useful if it's always on top. Should this option be another wishlist item?
im new new new to gog!
we need this!
i play on an old laptop, i really need fps counter to play..
I hope the fps counter will work in the next patch. Nobody wants to see their FPS while the game is paused, on the GOG Galaxy overlay...
Please add fps counter outside the overlay and for all games.
Overlay of GOG Galaxy 1.2 conflicts with Bandicam and Fraps Overlay, so if I want have fps counter in right corner while I am playing I cannot use GOG Overlay. Fix It please. Or add the fps counter outside the overlay.
New version has it, but shows counter on overlay itself (after pressing shift+tab).
So you cannot play and have little counter in the corner :(.
come on about time
Pleaaaaaaase!!!!! :-)
Yes please! For some people it is really troublesome launching FRAPS or Afterburner, especially to those who don't want it eating up so much ram. If people don't want the damn feature, don't use it when it is implemented. Don't be so butthurt.
Instead of Fraps or (worse) Steam, just use MSI Afterburner that displays not only FPS but also many other parameters as CPU ou GPU load and can take screen pictures in PNG.
NO
Stop adding crapware.
+1 for this also. Likely much harder to implement but I would also like the ability to show and fps counter in the older less "heavy" games, including those running under DosBox.
As a +1 to this it'd be great if we could have some CPU/GPU monitoring as well. Say our internal temps, load, and fan speeds would be great to have ingame
I would love to see one built in to the client and am really finding myself liking the galaxy client. I might for shits and giggles go ahead and add some of my favorite steam games to the launcher like I do for most all games to steam. I have not linked the witcher 3 and use galaxy for every launch. I hope more big companies realize drm only frustrates paying customers and release on gog as well.
FPS Counter would be very nice. Adjustable size/color also if possible
small FPS counter like in "Steam" please...
Yes yes yes. Was just looking around for this feature.
Fraps is NO compensation for an internal fps-counter, since Fraps hogs quite some performance (CPU). Steam has it already, it's working fine and doesn't have any negative impact on the game. So I demand that FPS counter, too.
Why an FPS counter ?! 4 EVERYONE WHO HAVE A NVIDEA CARD !!! DOWNLOAD NVIDEA GEFORCE XPERIENCE AND ACTIVADE THE FPS COUNTER !!!
FRAPS anyone ?
Different games use different APIs to render, it is absolutely not a simple thing to do.
Add this please!
Would be great. Right now I launch all GOG games through Steam anyway, just so I can use their FPS counter. It's that good.
I find it a must to have FPS counter, of course it must be optional
This would be a great idea! This way, I would not need to require such programs like FRAPS to run while I play. Even if this wish would finally come true, I hope this choice were to be made optional.
+1. I don't think people need to use additional programs like FRAPS or Mumble only to count FPS.
Needs to be optional, though.
On the one hand, I feel that this is a purely bonus feature and there are much more critical functionalities that should come first.
On the other hand.. how hard would it be to just tack on a simple fps box?
+1
Although it must be optional! :)
Yes it will be useful. Im sick of using ShadowPlay to set fps counter on screen.
It's a must!
+1 essential feature.
For a moment i thought you were asking for a feature that displays the number of FPS games in your library. Just for a very short moment... ;)
This is actually very important to me as well.
Same request here: www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy/optional_frame_per_second_counter_while_in_game
I would love that, steam has very nice unnocitable fps counter witch is really god, fraps is annoying big yellow numbers, this would be a perfect feature! :) And really not hard to make if u think about it
Yes I would love this. It's great that Steam implemented it recently and I would like to see GOG do the same. We shouldn't have to install extra software like FRAPS or Shadowplay to see how many FPS our games are outputting.
There is already FRAPS, but yeah, if they have some free time, why not. Do it.
Yes this would be such a great feature!
