M.U.D.S.: Mean Ugly Dirty Sport

Make sure to read the manual, make peace with redefining keyboard controls BEFORE EVERY MATCH, and immerse yourself in the brutal, hillarious and IMMENSELY playable world of M.U.D.S.! They don't make them like this anymore... would love to have a remake of this one with all the modern amenities, but if you can live with EGA graphics, you can still waste dozens of hours playing this one. Highly recommended for anyone in the mood for a game of "sport ball" with many a unique twist. Climb to the top, or die trying... or better yet, make your opponents die trying to beat you!

They were the secret sauce of the game, giving you just enough power to pull off a miraculous (and wonderfully shady) comeback. Compared to M.U.D.S., games like Blood Bowl feel overly polished, lacking that delightful blend of strategy and mayhem. It’s hard not to feel a wave of nostalgia thinking about those wild matches and outrageous antics. Just imagine a modern-day version of M.U.D.S., reimagined in glorious 3D with updated graphics. Picture the slime dripping off Flonks, the panic in your players' eyes as they’re dragged into the murky depths of the moat, and the thrill of trying to outwit your opponent in this one-of-a-kind madhouse. M.U.D.S. wasn’t just a game; it was an experience—a chaotic, irreverent, and endlessly entertaining experience. Here’s hoping someone out there decides it’s time to bring it back for a new generation to discover. Until then, we’ll hold onto the memories of Flonk bribery, moat drama, and the sheer joy of a game that didn’t take itself too seriously. Ah, those were the days!

I did not get the Gog Version. But I loved that game when it came out.
