Not sure how to classify this game, but you play as what looks like the center of a jellyfish. You move around mostly round objects in order to progress. It's very simple at its core, but new mechanics are constantly being added to keep things fresh throughout this short journey. One of the major mechanics, as the title suggests (it's French for wave) is that you can trigger sound waves to ride to the next point. For the most part, everything is very intuitive, but every once in a while, I was left wondering what I was even supposed to do. Of course, the real star of the show would be the visuals, and they are absolutely stunning. If you've ever seen the Yellow Submarine movie, the artstyle is different, but it's a similar experience, floating through abstract landscapes that are vaguely-to-moderately ocean-themed. Also similarly, it's very trippy, and the vast majority of the experience is both mesmerizing and meditative. It's short, so it's best played in one sitting. If you love art and bright colors, I can't recommend this enough.

I guess Onde could best be described as a bubble-puzzle-platformer? A beautiful journey with a mix of graphical styles ranging from neon to pastel, with a complimentary musical track. I did find the music a bit overly dissonant at times, but this did not pop my enjoyment of the game.

This game is great, more people should know about it! I bought it on a sale on a whim, but had never heard of it, and now I'm shocked this is not widely known. It does a great job of creating a multisensorial experience, with a great soundtrack that you add to with your movement, amazing visuals and a gorgeous aesthetic overall. This is not about the story, it's about feeling, and it's great at it. The controls are a little awkward at times, but it's a minor detail that doesn't detract from the experience. It's definitely worthy of my time and money, and a great way to relax after a full day.

it's a chill poetic game, so it's so annoying to have mechanics that make you loss some progress throw you journey, when it's the 8-10 times you fail, it's not annymore a chill game. Keep my money but i will watch a speedrun of it instead finish it.
