Short, mindless, gory, buggy fun
[Review based on Steam version, not GOG's] I bought Zombie Shooter off Steam probably 4-5 years ago because it looked "cool" and (I believe) was on sale at the time for a few bucks. Graphically it's isometric like Fallout or the Infinity Engine titles, but gameplay-wise it's like a third-person shooter with lite-RPG-esque stats and weapons you can upgrade by killing and collecting loot. I remember being impressed by how intense some of the battles can get (you can get overwhelmed in later levels if you're not careful) and the variety of zombies that you come across, not to mention the detailed death/gore animations. (Definitely NSFW, Kids, or simply those offended by blood and guts) That said, the game is short and a few times my character got stuck, which required me to restart a full level. (Pretty frustrating at the time) IMO the game doesn't really have replayability despite the "two additional game modes", and if you've played Sigma's Alien Shooter games, you've basically played this only with aliens instead of zombies. Fun, but perhaps only worthy of purchase when on sale.
