Yesterday

... I actually prefer the sequel. I think I'm in the minority there, but Yesterday Origins' story kept me even more engaged than this one, probably because you don't understand much of what's happening in this one until some major story details are revealed. Not that it isn't worth it - I very much was entertained, and I usually prefer happy-go-lucky adventures like the early Telltale ones. Special mention to the voice acting - I was impressed by the mass and the quality of the dialogues. Well done! Most puzzles are well done - you have to think a bit, but they are usually managable. One thing I didn't like: There's more than one ending sequence and you can only save the game if you end it - so if you want to see all of them you have to end the game near the end and then start again, otherwise you have to replay a possibly large part of the game. I truely laughed at the easteregg ending though. I would buy both games again, even for full price - although this one is a bit short, I very much was entertained to watch the PCs grow and gain more and more details over time. I wouldn't mind buying a third one if one ever is made.

The story and characters are well written. The voice acting is one of the strong side of this game. I don't want to talk to much about it, because it will spoil you the game. The gameplay is fluid without bugs and enigmas aren't too harsh yet realistic. And if you're stuck you can call for help in the game. You don't have the time to be bored. I recommand it.

I waited for a very long time for this game to come on GOG. And it was a real please to play it DRM-free. The game is very well written. It's a like a good detective story - giving you a little piece of information at a time to keep you constantly interested. Really good pacing. Dark humor is also very good. My only complain was that when you click objects, the main character doesn't comment anything out loud (no voiceover). I kinda love such comments in point-and-click adventure games. 5/5. Definitely worth the full price.

This is a point-and-click adventure game in the classic style but with modern (2D cartoon) graphics (see screenshots). The puzzles vary from super-easy to reasonably challenging, none at the super-hard level. The story and characters are engaging and the humour is good without spoiling the atmosphere. My only complaint is that the game is too short. I've bought the sequel since I enjoyed this one so much.
