Original could have been more readable, especially on the use of the colours, player may sometimes mix the colour of the train with the colour of its destination station but TV2 appears even less clear because of its new otherwise enjoyable cartoonish look. Original was simple but enjoyable in its game play of "real time puzzle" also allowing the player to play on their own rythmn. The objectives of TV2 are way tighter, especially the time related one, and a player who enjoyed their own rythm on the original will get pretty bummed they can only get 1 or 2 stars (or even 0) out of the five on each level. Upgrades of the trains being only linked to this stars is another bad design idea. The addition of budgeting is really limitative on the gameplay too making the game even less enjoyable than the original. TV2 is more of a (real light) management sim than the first that was more of a puzzle game. TV2 may be enjoyable to some players but note that if you enjoyed the first one you may not like the direction of its follow up.

One of my favourite games. I played over 135 hours and finished the game with all 250 stars and almost all achievements. The game is easy to learn, but hard (not so hard) to master. If you want to play just for fun, you can with no problem. But if you want to get 5 stars on each level, it is challenging (how it should be). Do not expect OpenTTD, this is a puzzle game with trains. If you want to relax, this game is a very good choice. + beautiful graphics (vector style) + relaxing music + unique levels + hours and hours of fun + translations + whole level on the screen (zooming allowed) + Linux version - no level editor in GOG version

Relaxing game with creative levels, fun to play, but hard if you want to get all stars. Unfortunately, if you buy here, you get a restricted version without the level editor! But hey, you are allowed to pay extra to get some levels from Steam's workshop that everybody else gets for free*. Isn't it nice, how you can pay multiple time to show your appreciation towards the devs, who couldn't care much less about non-Steam users. Enjoy your ride in third class, Gog plebs. *To be fair, the devs improved these levels to some extend. Still charge like for a normal add-on.

I bought the game by purpose, started playing it and found myself still playing at half past four in the morning! Absolut great management game. What I really like is the more or less absence from stress (if you do not pay to much attention to the time limits...). The game focuses more on the puzzle aspect. Where do I lay my tracks? How do I get tires to the city and how on earth will I ever get the cows to the factory? Very intelligent level design. Sometimes the landscape changes later in the game, presenting new challenges to the player. Nicely designed maps with an international touch. I just loved it and it was absolutely worth the money. Player about 40 hours before I got to the last level and still have many to play in order to get at least one star... A must buy in my opinion. The creators really spend a lot of time to present the player with som tricky map layouts. Why aren't there more quality games like this out there. Go and get it.
