The Syberia Collection

A not very known fact is that Amerzone is a prequel to the Syberia series and it is also considered part of the franchise, so I do not know why Amerzone is missing from the collection. The series has amazing lore and very good stories tho gameplay-wise its qualities are not very coherent. Syberia has an unique sad and "autumn" atmosphere and storytelling but puzzles are more less trivial. Syberia II is less focused on a story and that is why its story element is weaker than Syberia´s but puzzles are much better and gameplay-wise Syberia II is a peak of the series. Syberia 3 has weak story, basically not connected to the previous two games and gameplay that is modernized in the style of Telltale games which I never liked. Plus its controls are so annoying. Syberia 3: The Complete Journey contains also one of the worst DLCs every made An Automanton with a Plan which should be avoided at all costs! The last game Syberia: World Before is definitely better than average 3 but story-wise not better than Syberia and gameplay-wise not better than Syberia II. Still a worth of buying and playing. The first two are classics of point and click adventure gaming. If you like surreal settings and old school puzzle solving get this collection. It truly is a one of a kind experience :)

Amongst the best story rich adventure series ever, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series.

I bought the Syberia games a few years ago and knew it was a puzzle game going in. I love a good puzzle game. I did not enjoy it, and thats's sad. The story was boring and the puzzles weren't entertaining. It's a visual novel with a few puzzles threw in. And i don't like ANY of the characters introduced. I will say it's not worth more than what i paid for all three, which was 6 bucks for trilogy. More than that, you're wasting your money and possibly, your time.
