Sudden Strike 3

To those who dislike this game, they are fast paced players. If you really like micromanagement and wants to play the reality of war, in tactical scale, this game is for you. Although there are only a few missions in the game but guess what, you can make your own scenario through the editor. The graphics is acceptable. The gameplay can be tedious to some but if you really understand the whole game, it makes you fell in love with it.

Pros: Realistic vehicle part damage machanic. Concept of setting supply line Can capture enemy's artillery and vehicle. Grand scale battle Now the rest are about how frustrating the game is (I played in normal difficulty). 1. You fight against AI who heavily outnumbered you. Not only soldiers, but also artilleries and armoured viehcles. If they are in bad mood and decide to attck you (from a previous defensive position) with a flood of tanks, you are screwed. 2. In a game where LOS decides win or death, AI obviously get LOS cheat. Because their guns are everywhere and they always see you before you can see them. And your LOS is constantly blocked or interfered when it shouldn't. 3. The AI gets accuracy cheat. While your units can't hit objects on the face, AI units never miss a shot. 4. The combat pace is extremely slow and you have to save/load a lot for the previous reason. Everything is clunky. You have lots of micro controll to do. The fight is always annoying when your units ignore order or do stupid things. Yes utilising save scam with suiside squads for scout can bring you win. But where is the fun in it? This game doesn't worth your time unless you: 1. are a masochist. 2. have infinite free time and "patience" to save/load 100 times every campain. Just go play something better like Blitzkrieg.
