Will you manage to survive in the inhospitable environment, find answers and find your way back to your old life?
Hunt for food, make weapons, build a shelter. Secure your shelter - the dunes are teeming with scary creatures.
Find your way in the vast and lonely desert, orient yourself in sandstorms and mark your path. Thirst and heat become an invincible enemy during the day - cold endangers you during the night. Learn to live with adversity, see the beauty that the world holds, and learn from the animals and nature!
In this desert you are both a hunter and prey. Insect-like predators come out of their dark nests, always looking for food. Protect yourself with fire, blow up enemies with explosive coconut grenades, secure your base and do whatever it takes to survive.

I've never played the game. To play the game requires installation of GOG Galaxy. To repeat myself - you MUST install GOG Galaxy. Offline installation is worthless. It has been this way for many months. Game description should make it clear that it is NOT DRM free.
So the game sits in my library and I'm unable to get a refund and I feel ripped off by the game dev and GOG. If I wanted DRM, I'd have purchased from Steam!!!
Could not initially play the game. Had to make a 'GOG Save' folder in order to get past the 'start button issue' that other reviewers are having. My save file refuses to save any inventory at all (including in chests) so all of my 'progress' excluding days survived is gone.
This breaks it for me. I understand it is in early access and anyone that reads this comment should take it as such. But if these issues are not bugs, but features meant to force people to download 'GOG galaxy' in order to properly play it, then I am done with the game.
I do not know the game creator, but I will not support any DRM moves by anyone on a website dedicated to making games DRM free.
Otherwise, the game is great. The visuals are striking and the concept of survival in the desert a good one. The mechanics are fine, after you get used to them. There is a lot of potential in this game. Just know that the issues it currently has (at least those I had), may outweigh its good parts. I will wait for an update; perhaps it will fix these issues.
I bought the game in Early Access and had a good time with it, exploring the whole map and reaching the game "ending" (at the time). It was clear that it was still rough, but way better than other older games (*cof*Stranded Deep*cof*). I was excited to try 1.0 then.
Well, unfortunately 1.0 is basically the same game. Everything that was rough and underdeveloped is still there. The game even lacks some incredible basic things, such as SOUND. Yes, a huge crocodile emerges from the water to attack you... without any sound! Not even an water splash. Same for basically all other creatures, that fight, run and die as quietly as the sand dunes.
But there is one big difference from Early Access. Now alien squads increase in size with each attack, and even more if you stay in place. A developer said it's "because the game is made to keep you on move". NO, it's not! Just see the inventory system, where carrying one Antidote occupy the same slot of 30 Logs. By the time you actually manage to get two or three camels with bags, you are going to be attacked by a dozen aliens each time.
That won't be necessarily a problem, sure, if combat wasn't so plain BORING in this game. Just jump on a rock or platform and spend the next 10 minutes hoping that you arrows hit the odd enemy hitboxes every time they surface for a couple seconds. But don't worry, if you are out of arrows, you can calmly craft more in the safety of your inexpugable plaform, while the aliens keep singing and dancing in front of you. At times I was even able to get near them and grab the arrows from their face while they look at me. Iep, combat is THAT bad... Giving more emphasis on it was a huge mistake.
So, I wouldn't recommend the game anymore, because it's another promise that will always be an Early Access game. It may still be worth a try if you get for a discount on a sale, but please disable completely the aliens (at least there is this option, but only at game start).
So far this game has impressed me, I am normally hesistant when it comes to EA...especially after ARK!
This though, is smooth, no glitches thus far and has amazing potential. I look forward to seeing it grow!
If you like survival games, this will be a nice breath of sandy air! Not often you see a desert!
Keep up the good work!
I like it a lot already, the gameplay seems intuitive and simple in a way, and learn on your own adventure i don't know how to save the game tho but this is a good ea start, the desert survival is a setting ive always liked and looked forward they do it right
