SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell is the world’s only competitive heavy metal first-person platformer.

Marty was having a late morning breakfast and minding his own business. The demon knocking on the door wasn’t part of his morning routine. Before Marty was able to open, the hell breed smashed in the doors. A fierce brawl commenced and Marty lost his right arm – but at least the demon also lost his head. Unfortunately, whilst the brawl erupted more demons entered his garage and stole his last batch of limited edition Walrus Ale (tm). Now Marty has become furious! He ripped off the demon’s arm and did some DIY to re-attach his arm back to himself. This demon is no looker but gee it casts some nasty fireballs. Marty’s (after)life now has a single purpose: Go to hell and get his beer back! \m/
Like a bastard child of Quake 3 and Super Meat Boy, SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell is truly hardcore and focuses on speed and fast reaction. Race and jump over platforms and bounce pads and shoot fireballs to reach an exit portal in the minimal amount of time. Reverse time and gravity. Compete with all players for the top time in the online high scores. Only the toughest players will receive the Uber Skull medals!
If mind blowing speed and pumping adrenaline through your body is too boring, then search for the beer cans deeply hidden in each level. Who knows which secrets can be discovered by finding all of these delicious refreshments?

Warning: SEUM has been known to cause leaning disease. Symptoms are irrational leaning forward towards your screen when making difficult jumps. Smashing monitors with your head is not a way to beat the game!
First off, The premise is wonderfully simple yet not boring. It's a funny way to start the game and amps you up for what's to come.
This game will perform well on even a low-end PC, so props to the devs for utilising the engine well and making a wider group of people enjoy the game
It also has as a built-in level creator, that is very easy-to-use. There are also a huge number of community-created maps too, so you'll always have something new to try.
And finally, the most important point of all, the game is just plain old fun. No BS, it just throws you straight into the action and will keep you engaged with it's sense of humour.
This game caught my attention because I've always loved speedrunning, despite not being very good at it, so naturally a game marketed to speedrunning would catch my attention. The gameplay is very simplistic. You are given whatever powers you need to complete the level, just get to the exit as quick as possible. This is literally it. The fun comes from getting better times on each level, which lead to some really interesting moments where you kick yourself for jumping when you probably couldv'e just run across a gap. The abilites you get for each level range from reversing gravity, to making platforms, to setting a spot where you can teleport back to, which make levels very puzzle-y and never really feel boring. There's also collectables which the game lets you collect then restart the level while recording that you've collected it, which is a god send since otherwise the locations of these objects pretty much promise that you'll time out of the level since they are either hidden very well or are difficult to get to. The main thing that makes me decrease this review by a star is that not every level is about maximizing your action economy or jumping at the best times or any of the other traditional glitchless speedrun techniques, it's about finding what "breaks" the level. This could me finding a different path through the level, using your powers in an interesting way, or simply absuing the tools given to you. For some reason this did not appeal to me as it means that some levels you have to run pretty much ad infinitum to just find the thing that breaks the level. In one such case early on it was a collapsable floor piece you could break that cuts off about 6 seconds of your time. This removed the feeling of speedrunning and starts to feel more like a puzzle game than a platformer. Realistically I give this game a 4.5 but since there isn't a half star function I have to put it at a 4/5. Overall I recommend this game fairly highly.
It's a speedrun game, it appear to be using the same old school mechanics of speedrunning like strafing is going faster then just olding W, and such old school mechanics exploit.
the title say it... it's a speedrunning game, so make a browser search for it if you don't know what that means before buying that game.
There is secret beer to find hidden too in the story mode.
Infinite rejouability with endless mode.
SEUM takes everything that sucks about 3D platforming and turns it on it's head. Not a massive amount of depth, just speed running through level after level. But those levels are designed well and makes the most out of the power up mechanics you receive along the way. That, plus the music and comedic tone makes for an addictive ride.
Nice little time waster here, especially if you like the game-play as I'm sure it'll keep you hooked. Well worth the price if you like fast paced platforming.
Why I gave 3 out of 5, while others gave it 4 or 5?
I got bored. I drop the game after 5th floor.
I think the story-mode is too long. I think it should have ended after 5th floor.
I don't think that the quantity of levels should be less, I think they shouldn't affect on story. I think they must be an after-story levels.
