About This Game

Ten years after his Apocalypse Weekend escapades, The Postal Dude finally returns!

Paradise Lost is a full-fledged expansion pack for POSTAL 2 continuing the saga of the POSTAL series. Join the Dude as he ventures back into his former hometown embarking on a quest to find his lost dog. Not all is at it seems, as the once tranquil (relatively speaking) town and its citizens have been transformed in the wake of the nuclear destruction. Dare to enter the varied Zones as you cross the Arid Desert, trek through the dense Rainy Foliage, freeze your nuts off in the Nuclear Winter, and roam under the Ashen Skies. Meet the many mysterious factions comprised of the towering, the miniature, the zombified, and everything in between and use your radiant people skills to attempt to ally yourself with their enigmatic leaders, ranging from former child stars to terrifying demonic udder-wielding beasts! Fierce Lawmen, crazed Bandits, deranged Doomsday Survivalists, and a phallic child's toy mascot await. Do whatever it takes to survive! Wait in lines! Use vending machines! Buy toilet paper! Journey to where it all began to rescue your loyal companion!

Prepare to delve into the post-apocalyptic world of Paradise Lost!

Key Features

  • A complete singleplayer campaign: Brave Monday through Friday with twists and turns each day.
  • Free roam, non-linear, errand-based gameplay: Go do your daily chores or just screw around as you aimlessly run amok in the town!

"Mods" tab is gone

They've disabled the "mods" tab under the "Custom..." option in this version. If you wish to port your mods from the Steam version to the GOG version in order to enjoy them in a DRM-free environment, you are not allowed to do so. I am honestly disappointed.

Not Postal 3

This is indeed, a fully fledged expansion made for a game that was 12 years older. Was it worth the wait? Yes. If you've played Postal 2, you know what this is all about. You have a list of tasks to complete in a open world, and the game's five "acts" are divided into days from Monday to Friday. Paradise Lost takes place in the same city as the original game, but a lot has changed! The Postal dude is on a quest to find his lost dog, and a lot of characters familiar from the base game make a return. Without spoiling anything.. you are in for a treat! I'd say this expansion might even be just as long and expansive as the original Postal 2 is. Gameplay mostly remains the same, if a bit more polished and refined. There's a few new weapons and items, which can also be bought in kiosks throughout the city. One such item even allows dual wielding.. with any gun! As a shooter, I think the game is pretty solid on its own, due to its funky weapons, good gameplay, and power-ups. With its 15 difficulty options, you get anything from "basically no resistance" to a "everyone is armed to the teeth and wants you dead mode". You could even finish it without killing anyone, if you so desire. What I enjoy so much about Postal, is its crudeness. While it might not be for everyone, the topical humor, wacky arsenal, puns and funky dialogue made me laugh out loud many times while playing. There's a lot of nods to today's culture here, as well as a ton of references and easter eggs. When I told my friends how much fun I had playing this, they didn't take me seriously because "well.. it's Postal". I think my dedication to hunt down all 89 achievements for this speaks for itself. If you like crude humor and enjoy a good shooter, this is a absolute no-brainer! What can I say? I regret nothing.

Return to a Paradise lost

Out from the blue comes the crowning achivement of the Postal 2. When "The Game That Shall Not Be Named" failed spectacularly back in 2011 RWS was left standing with the pieces after a crashed world economy, a Russian game developer that was no more and a bastard of a product that wore their franchise's name; stain on a series of games famous for their ♥♥♥♥ stains. A few years later RWS made their own version of the third game in their series with the expansion pack/DLC "Paradise Lost". Even if I prefer the more grounded tone of Postal 1 and vanilla 2 I can appriciate and see the amount of work that went in to developing this. It's a heck of a good time with the trademark "over-the-top"-style Postal is famous for reaching its peak. Paradise Lost is a testament from Running With Scissors to their fans. One of the best apology letters ever conceived for a fault that wasn't the writer of the letter's own. If you find yourself returning to Paradise now and then be sure to visit the post-apocalyptic version on offer here. And to prove that they, RWS, was even more awesome they rehired the voice actor of "the other Postal Dude", Corey Cruise, and worked that character into the universe as well. That's just a nice thing to do and I love that they seem to care.

No Subtitles....

When will the latest update 5025 come? Steam has that version. Subtitles are still missing.

For everyone else having issues:

Manage Installation > Configure > Tick Paradise Lost on Installation, let it download. Otherwise the DLC itself is great fanservice to Postal fans and somewhat of a redemption after the fiasco that was Postal III, lots of new fun features and the map makes good use of testing veteran players map knowledge.
