Moto Racer 2

I have fond memories of playing this back in the 90s. I still have the original CD lol. For those of you who can't figure out how to get DirectX 3D working in a 64 bit OS, here is what I have done that works. I edited the motoracer2.ini and changed Params= to KeepAvailableVram3800000000. Also added a number of other options after manualsettings= to -limitframerate60 -d3d -agp -KeepAvailableVram3800000000 -triplebuffer. Like I said this works and makes the game run smooth and look good. Also, about the soundtrack, yes GoG has changed the tunes, but luckily I still have the original tracks and changed them to WAV files and replaced GoGs. Happy racing. :-)

The game runs without any problems on older and newer hardware. Tested on XP and Vista 64. The maximum resolution of 1024 x 768. Revived memories. Super fun for the whole family :). I especially recommend the game for 4 people on one screen.

Awesome, stellar racer. This is a must-buy for anyone who likes racing games, arcade games, or both. It is an arcade racer in every sense of that genre, but the mostly-lack of realism is what makes it good. One gripe I have with it...where are the original music tracks?? I don't remember these tracks in MR2...

I needed to add the command line parameters: -d3d -KeepAvailableVram-1073741824 -NoMixer to the motoracer.ini to make d3d and sound work though. Other than that rock solid 60fps (like you'd expect from a PS1 era game), worked with my gamepad/joystick out of box and controls great. This is one of the best arcade racers out there, and the graphics don't look half bad once it's in motion :)
