"Monster Prom 2: Monster Camp" brings you more of the world's best (and maybe only?) multiplayer dating sim; but in a way you've never expected!
The original Monster Prom is a multiplayer dating sim that shines for its beautiful art and unapologetic humor.
The sequel brings you into a new setup (summer camp) with new characters to romance, including old faces and new ones: Damien, Calculester, Milo, Dahlia, Joy and Aaravi. But that's not all, Monster Camp comes with twists here and there: from the campfire mechanics to a new stage full of magic mixed drinks.
We're repeating the best from the popular "Monster Prom" formula, but adding some new spices to it. You will see ;)

We enjoyed monster prom a lot, and monster camp has some better artwork, slightly more voice acting, and a bunch of content - The game features 24 secret endings, 343 events, 1130 outcomes and 71 “special stuff". It's mostly more of the same, but not in a bad way
i've been a fan of the monster prom franchise for some years, but only recently have i had the immense pleasure of playing in-person co-op with my very best friend :)
prom got me through a rough spot in my life, camp got me through covid, and now both are staples in building memories with the people i love. i hope the team at beautiful glitch loves making stories with each other, as much as i love exploring them with my friends.
thank you so so much for the years of goofs, laughs, and good times! now, for another round!! <3
The art is good, the characters are likable (even when they're objectively terrible people, which is usually,) and it's consistently funny.
I usually avoid comedy stuff because most of it is stupid and/or offensive, but at least once in most games I spend 2+ minutes in a fit of laughter. Not every joke lands (obviously) but many of them do, and none of them miss hard enough to be simple shock humor or edgy nonsense.
Also no punching down. The characters do outragous, often immoral things that justify the trigger warnings the game provides, but the jokes are never at the expense of the victims of such things or of maginalized communities.
That's pretty much it. It's a comedy dating sim with funny jokes, good art and likable characters, litterally the 3 things that such a game has to have.
My experience with this game has been extremely positive, overwhelmingly, even. The art and character design is fantastic, the humor is nonstop without feeling forced or overplayed in certain areas (there's pop-culture references, some satire here and there, self-awareness and pseudo-4th wall breaking, etc; it's not just an endless stream of one of these or weiner/boob jokes), and it doesn't try to jump the shark with anything.
There's a great thing in this, and it just feels like a simple concept done right. The humor may not be for EVERYONE (there is a set of options to tailor it, though I have not felt inclined to try it), but it's a great addition to parties or get-togethers (particularly if your group might have a laugh optionally voicing the characters yourselves). I've had no functionality issues, and am gladly trying to see all of the various endings and other gallery bits.
It's a simple, fun game that doesn't take itself too seriously, and provides great fun for the investment. I'm glad I stumbled onto this game!
