A solid "KRPG"

Graphics are not top notch, but the arts are gorgeous. Go for it if you love classic JRPG (or in this case KRPG as developer is Korean), it tastes like a brand new good game for JRPG times for PSX or PS2, with many new things, the combat has many new original stuff, as kind of quick time events for the attack and defense, that work pretty well in a in general pretty well balanced game. There is grinding, of course, but depends on how challenging you may find the combats, you can skip most part of it or not

Great modern take on an old genre

I've been watching this game since 2014 I believe is when I first noticed it. I love legend of dragoon and dragonquest and of course final fantasy. This game hits home. The developers are so open and responsive to any and all who play their game. If your into jrpg's at all buy this game and I'm sure you'll like this game and at the very least you will be supporting developers deserving of it

A nostalgia win

I'm a few hours in (still playing chapter 1) and it's really tingling my Legend of Dragoon nostalgia wiskers. Now bear in mind that I haven't played Legend of Dragoon for years so my comparason is based mostly on my own subjective impressions of both rather than any list of particular features, but it certainly has scratched that old itch "jRPG" (SEMISOFT is based in Jakarta, Indonesia) for me in a modern way (mostly meaning updated graphics in this case). The game play is entertaining, while the UI desgine allows me to play even in bite sized portions during busy days like today. As it stands now I'm quite content to have backed - and be playing - this game.

pass

The gameplay is similar to the Shadow Hearts franchise with the QTE circle yet has not quite the same level of refinement. And since you'll have to suffer it the entire long game that it is, its a tough one. Amount of enemy types is kinda limited but not too problematic. The weakest point of this game is truly the story. While on paper it should be a bland yet serviceable story, but the way everything is put together is not very well glued together. Most importantly, two of the main characters, Aria and Kael are absolutely insufferable. and they are the characters who talks the most. thankfully the other characters are more tolerable

A decent JRPG on a dying genre...

It's been a long time waiting for a true turn based JRPG a la FFX, Shin Megami Tensei... You know... the good stuff from old PS2 days. Legrand Legacy is an above average experience that manage to satisfy this (Dying) niche. The story while not great like the Megaten saga is servicable nonetheless. The Battles are good old turn-based JRPG fanfare with a Shadow Hearts/Lost Odyssey twist, You first select commands, then a kinda QTE ring appears in wich you have to get it right to deliver the best of each attack. The music fits each part of the game well and I must say it's pretty decent. As for the visual department, don't expect Next-Gen High Quality visuals, they are more reminiscent of the ps2 era with hand-drawn back grounds. All in all it's a decent game, that fills a really dying genre. Recomended if you are a JRPG Turn Based addict like me.
