Europe, 1938. The Lost Ark was just a warm-up! Now Adolph Hitler is after the most powerful talisman of all-the Holy Grail. A few brave men stand in his way. Fortunately, one of them is Indiana Jones. And this time, he has his dad with him.

The bad guys are in your face all the way--Nazis, mercenaries, traitors, and spies. Not to mention everything the Luftwaffe can throw at you... Can you handle the heat?

If you can, you just might earn a higher I.Q. (Indy Quotient) than the man with the whip and the hat.
  • Visit dozens of locations you never saw in the movie!
  • Play cat and mouse in the catacombs of Venice!
  • Fight your way through the eerie Schloss Brunwald!
  • Over 100 sound effects... plus movie theme music.

Ah, this one!

I remember the first time I saw this, I was at a friend's house, and he was one of the first fortunate dudes I knew to have a 80386 PC and a VGA color monitor. I had never seen something like this, so complex and easy to use thanks to the SCUMM mouse interface (the command based Sierra adventures were rare to see in my country, and demanded a good level in English). This was translated to Spanish and gorgeous. My brother and I got a copy and enjoyed a lot playing it in awful CGA tones of grey (It was the CGA/EGA version with 4/16 colors, the 256 VGA version in GOG was released later in CD), and internal speaker beep sounds. We didn't even have a hard disk, so we played it entirely from floppy disks... I only give it 4 stars because: 1) It lacks the CGA/EGA version I got to love, if uglier, and 2) puzzles are clever and fun, but there are difficult fight/run arcade-ish sections that always gave us a hard time and makes it a little less enjoyable. All in all, a jewel and a milestone in the story of point-and-click adventures. Lucasfilm/Lucasarts just made it even better later.

If you want to play one great adventure

play Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis ... it's clearly more evolved, has a better interface, more music and action packed, has deeper humor. But if you want to play TWO great adventure games, play the one named first and Indiana Jones and the last Crusade. Back then, when Sierra ruled the adventure game world, Lucas Arts released some of the best adventure games ever. Crusade is very close to the movie, still offers a lot of it's own ideas. Since I played it after TSOMI, I had quite a hard start, the game didn't guide the player as good. But once I was in, it was really a great experience. And I still hate the developers for not refilling the health bar on the zeppelin or in the castle. It took me so many tries to get through, before I realized that you can avoid every fight in the game. So go get it. If you haven't played it before, it may seem a bit dry at first, but it gets better very soon. Enjoy your trip to Venice and Berlin. And really ... how many people get the chance to take a hit at Adolf? Don't forget to save your game though.

Best of point & click

One of the best games from the golden age of LucasArts ( very close to the movie, it doesn't hurt to view it again before playing this game ) Ahhh Venice !!!!

Simply perfect!

Indy and the last crusade is one of the best point'n'click adventure ever released. Sure, the graphics aren't as nice as in Day of the Tentacle and the UI isn't the best. But at the time it was totally fine. And it still plays very nicely to this day. What makes it a great game ? Replayability ! You have several ways to beat the game as you often have multiple solutions to problems in the game. For instance, there is a moment in the game where a big guard is blocking your path. You could try to get him down fighting but he's huge and very hard to beat. Or you could give him some beer, while disguised as a nazi soldier and then hit him a few times so he goes to sleep. There are quite a few of those kind of moments, that totally change the way you play the game, hidden stuff and such. It follows the story of the movie and you'll feel right at home if you like adventure games and/or indiana jones!

One of the best movie adaptions

This is one of my favorite games. The puzzles can be a little unfair at times but it is well worth the money, especially when you are a fan of the movie.
