To many DLCs

I think, that it is a terrible release strategy of the software studio, to create so many DLCs. I don't know, what I need and what didn't, so I don't buy the game at all. Hopefully there will be a Edition with all the DLCs included.

Too Many DLCs

Why so many DLCs??? I'll wait for the ultimate edition with all DLCs included before I decided whether or not to buy this game. I loved Galactic Civilizations series. But this is just too absurd for me even to consider buying.

Slap in the Face - Completely Broken.

Crashed 6 times in an hour. Was playing a first mission of the Campaing: - Building names are broken, they're named like code variables: "Basic_research_lab". - Loading the saved game (auto/manual) made during that first mission, crashes the game. - On the map there's some special relic that gives you manufacturing bonuses: so you build your starbase there, get the XenoArch and Mining Ring - game crashes. And you can't load it back, because the game will crash again. Control - dev's are trying to make your life a living hell: - Way back (when the game was lauched) the game used to have planetary customization slider, where you could customize how muny resources go into Reasearch, Manufacturing, Shipyard. Dev's took it out, so you couldn't do it. - Also when you have a shipyard, you're forced to have it build ships every turn. You can't end your turn while the shipyard is idle. In the older version, you could shutdown the shipyard, but now dev's took it away. The only way to stop producing ships is to destroy (decomission) the shipyard - which means when you need it back on, you have to spend resources building it all over again. So stupid! Why would you want to stop building ships? If you military tech is not advanced enough you're forced to keep on building crap ships over and over again, until their upkeep cost makes your planet go in red when it comes to money. - Most of the tech is arbitrarily locked off behind different ages. Absolute nonsense - it didn't used to be that way back in the day. It's like a slap on the face - an "invisible wall" for the tech tree. - Can't disable the DLC's content. Tutorial - the only thing before the campaing I did. - But when you'd talk to other race you could see some of their tech has the names glitch as well, where something would be called like: "research_tech_name". I haven't gotten into this game too deep, but I'm scared of how many glitches I will find. Absolutely dreadful experience.

Unprecedented greed.

What is this? Buying a game for £30 and then spend another £100 on DLC? No. I will now buy until Ultimate Edition is here containing ALL of the DLCs, with a discount. They loose.

Fun idea, subpar execution

I have been playing TBS/4x games for more than a decade, and I am a pretty competent player. I have tried all but three of the races, downloaded a significant number of the DLCs and tried various difficulties. map sizes, played with setting in terms of resources, star distribution and density. I feel like I have tried exceedingly hard to make this game more playable and in 68 hours of play time I feel like this game does not get anymore enjoyable. I think the world building they did at the core of this game is quite fun and interesting, I enjoy the conceptual ideas behind the various game play mechanics, but ultimately, if I am always playing from behind and nothing I do really affects that then I'm sure what the point of having different levels of difficulty. Every game I have won or come close to winning I did so after playing into the late game in last place and becoming close with one or two of the major players that, when they ended up loosing passed all their resources to me. Really not a super enjoyable experience or way to win. When this quarantine situation ends, Ill likely not come back to playing this for the foreseeable future, I guess at nearly 70 hours all of the money I paid for the DLC's worked out to like 10 bucks an hour, cheaper than some past times, but doesn't really compare to endless space 2, Empire total war, Civilization, where I got 100's of hours of game play out of it.
