THANK YOU FOR ADDING THESE GAMES
I am so happy these games are now DRM free here, it makes it possible to preserve them more easily. I still have my old game discs for the original which runs on Windows XP, one of the most played games of my childhood. I can't say how good these are, when not seen through nostalgia goggles, as I have such a strong nostalgia. Moreover, I have the most time spend with the first 2 games, the last 2 while the most expansive, I've barely played.| They are simple dungeon crawlers, very Diablo II-esque, but with a charming art style that makes these more fitting for children. The entire game can be played one handed with a mouse! This is super cool, I don't know many large games that can be played one handed. It does help to use some of the key shortcuts once you become familiar with the game. They also run on damn near anything, which is nice for weak hardware. Tips for beginning players: 1) When you start, buy a fishing rod and go fishing. Sell the fish, and any possible items you find that you do not want to keep. Make sure you use identity books to identify the enchantments not already identified, this helps raise the items value for sale. 2) Get 3 quests before going in the dungeon, its more efficient to get 3 quests in the same level, so time is more efficient. If you dont get any good ones, save and quit and load back, they get regenerated. 3) Once you get deep into the dungeon, use portals! I used to always walk up and down as a kid, what a time waste. Use portal books, so you can keep going back and forth without wasting time on levels you've outgrown. 4) Stick to the first 2 difficulties if it is your first time playing, it's less grindy that way imo. For later playthrus, harder difficulties makes you need to grind more, which is fine if you are good at the games or if you want to be challenged more. They are all doable, but the first two are less grindy and stats oriented. 5) Magic builds are very OP and fun, I highly recommend. Thank you for your time!
