Description
Huzzah, all 4 games combined!

Deponia
Rufus is not a pleasant guy. Ill-tempered and entirely too convinced of his own greatness, he lives at the edge of a small settlement somewhere in the most remote sector of the garbage-covered planet Deponia. He dreams of a better life in the floating cities of wealth and beauty high above the planet surface. When the angelic Goal falls from these privileged spheres down into a neighboring trash heap, Rufus sees his chance. He decides to bring the unconscious beauty back to her home. Only a vague hope of making it off Deponia at first, he soon formulates an unscrupulous plan, as he learns that he is a dead ringer for Goal’s upper-class husband. The planned handover is only the beginning of a wild chase across Deponia full of twists, turns and mystifying mix-ups.

Chaos on Deponia
After the events in Deponia, Rufus came to his senses. He's grown prudent, amicable, kind and caring, without any intention to cause major mayhem just to further his own selfish ends. It seems he is far from chaining himself to flaming saw blades, training torpedo-dolphins or plundering platypus nests. Or is he? Eventually, it's a flaming saw blade that “persuades” Goal to stay on Deponia once more, splitting her personality into three parts in the process, each aspect of her consciousness stored to a different cartridge. So it's up to Rufus and his remarkable charm to persuade Goal's personalities to fuse into one again, make his way to Elysium with her and save Deponia from certain Chaos while he's at it. Join Rufus on his way through the vast area of the Floating Black Market, meet new, bizarre characters and reunite with familiar faces.

Goodbye Deponia
More chaos, more destruction, more Rufus. Not one, not two, but three Rufuses cause all kinds of crazy mayhem in the long-awaited adventure comedy Goodbye Deponia: The Organon plans the destruction of Deponia, the lovely Goal has (once again) disappeared, and anti-hero Rufus just can't seem to stop getting in his own way.

Deponia Doomsday
One fateful night, Rufus awakes from a haunting nightmare: he sacrificed himself to save Deponia. But at what price? Elysium, the floating city crash-landed on the planet. As the last surviving Deponian, he fought savage fewlocks, but in the end, there was only one way out: He had to blow up Deponia! And... He grew a mustache.

Not a new edition

Before leaving bad reviews and votes, be aware that this is listed as "package", not a new game version. If it WAS a new game version and owners of the old versions would have to pay the full price, I could relate. But it's just a package of the existing games. So basically it's a 10% discount on the four games, which have been on sale the other day with a 90% discount. Yay!

Still no Complete Journey on GOG.

Deponia: The Complete Journey is a version of the first three Deponia games that adds developer commentary and a chapter select map with all 13 chapters. This is not that version. This is just a plain, boring game bundle. Doesn't really have a reason to exist when The Complete Journey is available elsewhere.

Humorous cartoony misadventures

The Deponia series centers around egocentric antihero Rufus. If you enjoy dark humor, you're in for a treat. You'll find yourself being a menace to all around you, resorting to increasingly questionable actions in order to progress. The main focus of your attention is romantic interest and damsel in distress Goal, who is often in distress because of you. At the end of the day, Rufus aims to do the right thing, but whether he's a net good overall is for you to decide. I particularly enjoyed the background artwork and the voice acting for Rufus and Goal. I had no issues with the English localization. It's among the better point and click adventures and I never miss an opportunity to recommend it to fans of the genre. With the start of the Point and Click Adventures sale today, this bundle has finally received a 90% discount, making it a worthwhile purchase compared to the individual games.

Good games

Originally, I played them on Steam, but here's my review: Deponia was an episodic point-and-click singleplayer lightweight (runs on potato hd4000) game franchise (Deponia 1, 2 and 3) that captivated the fans so much the developers had to make a final game (Deponia doomsday - a.k.a. "Deponia 4"). Overall, the mechanics are vert simple (it's a point-and-click game) but with some very complicated, stupidly funny puzzles and dialogs that makes the player go "wait..what, WTF, WHY? oh, that's why... this is soo dumb" The characters are very charismatic, the story is a beautiful good-humored, well written and designed mess. As for achievements, you will have to be very patient since a lot of them needs you to go through many steps and levels and not miss a thing (some very repetitive, in the case of Deponia 4). I only recommend buying the 4-game bundle/collection because it's all packed. I recommend waiting for a discount (in my case). But for $10 bucks and it is better than many games nowadays. Go for it if you want. It's a fun game, lots of levels and laughs. You should try.

Buggy!

This game bundle started out as great fun and I'm a fan of this style. However, it's full of bugs: items that take an age to pick up from the inventory and puzzles that won't work and stop you progressing, like the magnetic field thing with the pigeons and the mine cart switches. There may be more but I could get no further so I requested a refund and deleted the game. I note, through searching online, that this has been reported to the developer who say they are looking into it but nothing has been actioned so far. Pity, as I was enjoying it to the mine cart part. I even tried deleting and reinstalling but then the problem with the magnetic field board cropped up and I just gave up after that. Not a fan of continuously restarting to encounter yet another bug!
