Description
The Recharged arcade games have been reimagined for modern gameplay, and while remaining true to their originals, they contain new vibrant visuals, gameplay mechanics, quality of life changes and… original soundtracks from award-winning video game composer Megan McDuffee!

Includes:

Asteroids: Recharged
Asteroids: Recharged creates a familiar, but revitalized and modern challenge to both old school and new high score chasers. And 30 unique and creative challenge levels take the space shooting game play into new territory, complete with local and global leaderboards.

Breakout Recharged
Breakout: Recharged will forever change what you expect from a brick-breaking title. The endless arcade mode and 50 challenge levels will push you to the limit of your skills. Don’t fret, however, as this wouldn’t be a Recharged title without game-changing powerups. Expect the aid of rail guns, homing missiles, and explosives to join the traditional multi-ball. You’ll need every tool in the arsenal and razor-sharp reflexes to climb the global leaderboards.

Centipede: Recharged
Aim for a high score in the old school arcade mode and earn bragging rights with your name at the top of the leaderboard. Or test your skills and rank on the boards in one of 30 intensely creative challenges, which twist the gameplay in new and exciting ways.

Gravitar: Recharged
With Gravitar: Recharged Atari revisits an incredibly ambitious arcade title. The 1982 original took the rotate, thrust and fire mechanics of Asteroids and Space Duel, combined them with the gravity of Lunar Lander, and added exploration and elements of cave flying. The result was an extremely challenging arcade game that was eventually ported to the Atari 2600. The game, which did not achieve broad commercial success, has become a cult classic among Atari enthusiasts.

Yars: Recharged
Yars: Recharged requires players to remain acutely aware of visual and audio cues that hint of impending danger, and to master rhythm of each boss as they navigate increasingly complex enemy defenses, all to epic soundtrack by Megan McDuffee.
The new game marks Atari’s return to the Yars universe, which is based on Howard Scott Warshaw’s classic Yars’ Revenge. Released in 1982.

Black Widow: Recharged
Aim for a high score in the old school arcade mode and earn bragging rights with your name at the top of the leaderboard. Or test your skills and rank on the boards in one of 30 intensely creative challenges, which twist the gameplay in new and exciting ways.
Collect cash from downed enemies to charge a powerful web blast, or pick up one of a dozen new power-ups including explosive blasts, spread-shots, and fear, trapping all enemies in your web. Every mode and level is playable in local co-op mode with a friend.

Missile Command: Recharged
Missile Command: Recharged takes the classic arcade game and adds several layers of oomph and pizzaz. This revamped take on the classic introduces more power-ups, new enemies, and a suite of challenges that limit the number of counter-defenses at your disposal - not to mention co-op across all game modes! An amazing new soundtrack from the incomparable Megan McDuffee perfectly complements the gameplay and adds depth and variety. Of course, you could also test your skills against players across the globe in the 32 challenge levels or the classic endless Arcade mode.

Atari, are you insane?

Like the other reviewer said, too expensive! My dad got us an Atari combo pack back in 1994 that had Missile Command, Centipede, Battlezone, Asteroids, a bunch of others, and a game editor to boot! Infinite lives, more/less ammo, enemies, level generation parameters, etc. $10. Now we have neon graphics, and that is supposedly worth 6 times the price? Very indicative of modern gaming: "but, but, the graphics!" Sorry, that fad died out around 15 years ago when they finally perfected deformable polygons. Last "new" thing in graphics I remember was facial modelling in Half Life 2... and last impressive thing was in 2002's massive texture compression in .kkrieger (why don't more games use this??) And Atari: what EXACTLY have you made that is new AND GOOD in the last 30 years? Or are re-releases with flashier graphics and price gouging all you have? For goodness' sake, do you know how easy it is to find FREE clones of most or all of these games??? The only one I haven't heard or played is Black Widow, but why would I play such a basic twin-stick shooter when much better are available? If I am going to play a game for nostalgia, graphics are the last thing on my mind. Yeah, there are a few from the early 90s that have graphics that are either non-functional on modern hardware or truly painful, but that's a huge exception.

Atari Recharged Bundle - Too Expensive!

I don't own this game, but it looks fun. I might own it one day, but that day is far away with a pricetag THAT high! Half would be too much, no matter how fun it is. It's after all just a game for casual gaming and playing when you have a little time to spare. One star given for the price issue alone. I might buy it and change that if the price drops. Significantly.

A joke

The people trying to justify the price tag using inflation is absurd.. These games have all aged horribly. They aren't worth more than five quid on their own. It was 40$ in 77, so it should be 190$ now? Do you hear yourself? Making something neon doesn't make it better lol, certainly doesn't justify that price tag!!

Way too pricey

The prices for old games are sadly starting to pass over my abilities... Gatchaman: If you get this for 9$ I totally understand how you do not understand the concerns. I for one, have only an option to buy this for a hefty sum of 42$. With that said, I have the utmost respect for the GOG team and their work. Long lost treasures have been resurrected time after time, and I for one will support this as much as I can. How ever, I do not have anywhere near that much to spend on this type of old games...

Too expensive for what it is

You can get these same games on console platforms in a bundle disc for like $20 at walmart. These games should go for about $15 on PC since it’s cheaper to distribute. Just buy old pc cd bundles off ebay or amazon (there are plenty of them that are drm free) and don’t waste your money with this scam.
