Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo

Yes, this is more of a "walking simulator" than an actual game. Mechanics are similar to "Hard Rain" or "Detroit: Become Human". Choices may alter some events, but the main storyline remains unaltered. However, the story itself is so well written and engaging, that it really doesn't matter if there's one or multiple endings. I played the Spanish version, and the dubbing is absolutely gorgeous. The story has little resemblance to the original Vertigo movie, but got me hooked from beginning to end. In summary, a fantastic "movie" experience for thriller lovers… and with a fantastic humorous ending answering what seemed to be an unsolved mystery (won't do any spoilers here!)

It was the story and cinematic shots that kept me glued to the screen. A true labor of love from Pendulo Studios.

I liked the first half of the story, but then it got a bit too much, and partly very very booring. Game is not very well optimized, there are much prettier games out there that run a lot better. Game is ok, like a very long movie with interactive parts where you explore and look for hotspots to interact with. And a bunch of QTE.

One of those games where you click on a thing to watch more of the story, like the walking dead episodic stuff. A woman is telling you about something and hands you some tea. You have to swipe the mouse down to take it. That's the game. Then you get up and walk and click on hot spot. It tells you a bit more of the story. That's really the game. I think the story is nice and captivating. I think because I was constantly interrupted by these stupid actions. Let me put it this way, remove all these aggravating interactions and it is a 30 minute a very cool short movie. But currently it is a 10 hour of unskippable torture. If you have nothing else to do and there is a 80% sale then go for it. Otherwise strong pass.
