The previous Zork games were all DOS games and as such making them compatible with a modern OS was simply a matter of slapping DOSBox on it. Grand Inquisitor on the other hand is a Windows 95 game and as such is quite a bit harder to make it compatible with a current OS.
That and the games being released now are likely why GI is taking so long while the other Zork games were released only a couple of days after the relevant developer got on board.

Ah, I was wondering about that ^_^ I own both zork nemesis, and return to zork... but I'll rebuy them if I have to...
I hope that someone is willing make them compatible... :) I would love to play more!!

I am actually playing ZGI on my computer (not right now but I have it working). It does have some issues (which would be really nice to have fixed) but it certainly is playable. The problems primarily concerns scroll speed.

There also once was an online gaming site that used to offer ZGI....Gametap I believe...but I think they have since removed it.

ZGI was IMO the best Zork game. By far.
