Hi I'm running Windows 7 (32-bit) and DosBox used to work OK with Win XP when I last tried it 2 years ago (though I hadn't heard of GOG then).

When I run Zork I and II (haven't tried other Zorks) in DosBox fullscreen, nothing happens when I press keys. My machine is a Medion Laptop with a built-in display 1600 x 900. To get out of this I have to open Process Manager, which enables me to click the X close icon for DosBox with the mouse.

To fix this problem I have to edit dosboxZork.conf so that fullscreen=false. It's a bit crude and there's no black background, but keyboard (and mouse) work. Is there some other solution that will give me black fullscreen (thinks of Zorro mask app)?

I have tried MOO I and II and don't get this problem. Thanks for any suggestions.
Have you tried comparing the dosbox version and the configuration files ?
It'd try a different setting for the output.

Thanks for replying, but I don't understand what you mean. The configuration file I edited (dosboxZork.conf) IS for GOG's version. Also, where is the output? Could you supply an example? Thanks.

(Added) I think what you mean is the output value in dosboxZork.conf. When I changed this from output=surface to output=overlay I was able to use the keyboard, no problems.!

Can anyone advise me how to enlarge DOSBOX window vertically, to, say 800 px? I've tried everything so far, windowresolution, scaler, even hwscale=2.00. Nothing works for me.
