Bizarrely enough, after installing the game, I have been able to play the game... but after exiting the application, and restarting it later, the application crashes immediately with "Game executable has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution"--- I'm on Windows 7 64-bit.

Hey merryjest,

So you were able to play the game when you first installed it without issue, but every time you've started it up since, it's crashed?

If that's the case, can you delete the contents of the "My Documents\Zafehouse Diaries" folder and try running the game again?
I tried it, but unfortunately there was no change. It is an immediate crash, too-- as soon as I click on the shortcut or the program itself, it crashes.
I tried reinstalling the program using the gog.com installer--- which takes forever-- and then it works perfectly fine... for one session. If i want to play again, I have to reinstall it again due to the fact that it will insta-crash. It's verybizarre.
That is quite strange -- even stranger that it sorts itself out when you reinstall the game.

Are you able to contact GOG's technical support team? It may have something to do with how they install the game.

If they're unable to help, can you email me at logan@screwflystudios.com?
I've sent a report, I'll let you know what they say.
Alright, the issue seems to be with Comodo Antivirus: it needs to be added as an exception manually, even if you have it running in game mode. Once you do that, everything works hunky dory!
Great to hear it was resolved merryjest, hope you enjoy the game!
