Hi there,

I've seen a few people online with the same problem, but never any solution, so I'm just gonna try here, as well:

Yakuza 0 has super low volume and I have no idea what to do about it.

The Sega logo at the beginning is the same volume as everything else, but as soon as the intro music starts it's super quiet.
It gets a tiny bit louder if I set it to surround for some reason (I have a stereo system) but it's of no real help.
I've fiddled with the audio.ini a little bit as suggested by people who have had problems with distorted audio, but so far, nada.
I've messed around with sampling rates and disabling any output devices other than the speakers, but again, to no effect.

Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Cause if not, I think I'm just going to have to refund the whole thing as it's basically unplayable like this.

Thanks.

Alright, here's my "solution": just increase the volume of everything.

Get Equalizer APO - I can't post links, it's on sourceforge /projects/equalizerapo/
Configure it to use whatever output devices you want it to (it'll ask during installation).

Get Peace Equalizer, a GUI for the above - it's on sourceforge /projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/

Set Pre Amplifying (at the top) to some high level, enable "Prevent clipping", hover over the menu entries in-game so that it finds the right limit and then use that.
If you save the profile and click on the little dude with the green head, you can configure it to apply automatically when you start the game.

It's a dumb solution, but it works well enough.

Just curious to know the value of your audio.ini
Found in %APPDATA%\Sega\Yakuza0\

Hf!
I beat Yakuza 0 GOG version, but I never had any problems with low audio in the game.

The only problem with audio I did have was that the SEGA chime is way too loud, and much louder than the volume of the game itself.

And that is a standard problem, and there are even mods to remove the SEGA chime, since it's way too loud by default.

That's the thing for me - it's not that the chime is too loud, it's that the rest of the game is too quiet.
Compared to the volume of everything outside of the game, the SEGA chime is fine.

But modding it out is a good idea, I hadn't even thought of that.
