So the great thing about GOG versions besides that there's no DRM baggage, it's that they usually include all the digital extras...

On page 3 of the manual, it says:

"To install the exclusive digital content included in the Special Edition, insert DISC 2 of your XCOM: Enemy Unknown installation discs into your DVD drive and navigate to the “Special Edition Content” folder. There you will find the game soundtrack, ringtones, and desktop wallpapers to enjoy"

Anyone know where to find the soundtrack? When I look at the Backups & Goodies page in the GOG Galaxy app, it's not there. I hope I'm not expected to download the 19GB Game Backup Copy just to get the soundtrack.

Are GOG going to add this digital content, at some point?

The manual pdf for some reason is the one that is on steam as well (regardless if you bought the special edition or not)
it was also the normal retail manual for even the non-special edition.

But as for gog getting it, that remains to be seen, but I would not hold your breath,

also the special edition was a retail (brick and mortar store) release only.

I have the soundtrack if you want it, but not the wallpapers.

The SE content is not in the GOG edition, but in my opinion the Wallpapers were lame.
