Hi all, I am having trouble modding Xcom2 and I was hoping I could get some help. I have the complete XCOM 2 with all expansions. I have put the mods in a Mod folder in the Xcomgame folder within WOTC. I have in tried to activate the mod for long war 2 by activating. In the config file for mod options I used a previous thread as an example

XComGame\Config\DefaultModOptions.ini

and type an entry for every mod you wish to enable

[Engine.XComModOptions]
ActiveMods="example1"
ActiveMods="example2"
ActiveMods="example3"

But instead used the mod options file in the War of the Choosen folder
My text looks like this

Engine.XComModOptions]
ActiveMods="LW_Overhaul"

This is so I can active the Long War 2 mod.

What Iam I doing wrong?
Do I need to put the config file somewhere else?
What steps did I miss?
all my mods came from the Nexus
Thanks in advance for any help I can get from anyone in here.

Are you trying to play the base game or War of the Chosen? It appears that Long War 2 is not compatible with WotC. You might be launching the wrong game/editing the wrong config file or putting the mod files in the wrong place.
Hi, I very well could have something wrong that I have no doubt. However since no matter which launcher I use Wae of the Choosen is launched. I would only play the game modified since I am not happy with some of the game mechanics and I would love to get some help to get the game modified but if not it's no big loss.
You could try launching the base game directly. Using "XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64\XCom2.exe" worked for me. Put the folder with the mod files in "XCOM 2\XComGame\Mods". Then add the line "ActiveMods="MODNAME"" in the config file in "XCOM 2\XComGame\Config\DefaultModOptions.ini". MODNAME has to be the same as the name of the .XComMod file in the folder with the mod files.
Yes that's what worked
Ok I must be really, BUT really dumb...

EDIT:
And I was indeed :D
