I was about to install the "X4: Foundations" patch v3.00 to v3.00 Hotfix 1 (patch_x4_foundations_3.00_(37236)_to_3.00_Hotfix_1_(37262).exe) but the setup tells me that the file is corrupted (The setup file is corrupted. Please get a new copy of the program)

I have also downloaded the file several times and via Firefox, Opera and Microsoft Edge but the result is always the same.

The MD5 of the file is: 24db6a7a92b9a67c3ec457295a412d01

Did you load the setup_......-XY.bin files too?
Could you have mixed different languages?

You shouldn't use 3.0.
3.2 - the current version - is way better with much less bugs.
Thanks for the answer but the patch from 3.00 to 3.00 Hotfix 1 does not have another *.bin file as this patch is probably only 10 MB in size.

And there seems to be only this patch in the English language tab, in the German one the other patches are not available but I assume that the patches are for all language versions, otherwise there would be separate patches for each language version.

Especially since the setup says right at the start of the installation that the file is corrupted, I don't think that has anything to do with the wrong language version.

And yes, theoretically I can download the whole game again, but if it is possible via patch, it is the more comfortable solution.

You are right. That file is damaged.
Maybe GOG-Support will help.
Please report it then wait.

Or, it would be much faster to just download the latest full version and install that than apply many patches on top of each other. Or you can use Galaxy in order to minimise the download size. It is not a big game anyway at a mere 12.4GiB (Windows version).

I wrote to the support this morning but with a rather "unsatisfactory" answer, so I guess I'll have to download the whole thing again:

Hello,

I'm afraid that I can't find out what is causing the problem and recommend to download and install the latest version of the game.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Many greetings,

But yes, the one with the Galaxy Client is a way to reduce the traffic.
