and I can absolutely understand that whoever deals with complaints does endure lot's of angry and even hateful customers that are not satisfied for whatever reason.
I'm not stupid, hell, I'm even working on a doctorate's degree, but I can't figure out for the life of me how to run X3 on my machine.
I don't even understand how to make a system report file you guys can work with because I used neither .deb nor .tar.gz. It was a .sh script.

My screen goes black for a moment and then I am back to desktop.

This is the error I get when trying to start X3:

Is there any way I could get my money back? I'm just getting too old for spending nights in front of the computer trying to figure out how to get a game working.

For which game exactly: X3: Terran War Pack?

Yes, by successfully sending in a support ticket. In case either of the games are "unbundled" here are working support forms: & [url=https://www.gog.com/support/contact/technical_issues_with_games/x3_terran_war_pack]Terran War Pack. Do you not have any sound devices or are you missing some of the dependencies: libc6:i386 libasound2:i386 libasound2-data:i386 libasound2-plugins:i386 libgtk2.0-0:i386 libxml2:i386 and dependencies. (Both have the same list)

Oh, the gog-system-report.sh should be in the support folder under the game installation directory.

Thanks for your reply, I already figured out how to create a gog system report and have filed a ticket.

It's X3:Reunion.

Nevertheless it worked! Installing those 32-bit libraries allowed me to start the game succesfully (even with sound). Thank you Gydion for your kind help.

You should mark Gydion's reply as the solution since it solved your problem :-) Lots of fun with X3:R!
