I did obtain X Rebirth via Gogconnect but I have all the DLC on Steam : will there be a way to convert the Gog version to the Complete Edition later ?
I suspect not :-( This way the developers and GOG have a chance of getting money from people rebuying the DLCs here. Let us hope things will change sometimes in the near future.
Most likely not. Steam API don't carry any info on DLCs, which means that GOG has no way to know whether or not you actually own them.

If you're willing to fork out some extra cash you could maybe try to buy the complete edition upgrade later, but before doing that I'd strongly recommend emailing support and asking them if upgrading games added via Connect is at all possible.

I had the same question, and I ask for the mod support, too. Because vanilla X-rebirth is pretty much unplayable without mods. At least for myself.

I contacted support about these two issues. Maybe we are able to copy the xtension (mod) folder from the steam game version. But that would pretty much mean, that we need both versions parallel on our HD.

I personally won't play X-Rebirth wiithout the modifications. Not ever.

Not sure what you are really talking about.

The DLCs or mods?

Mods can be downloaded anytime again. They are free of charge.

The problem is, that there are some mods, that I need, I can only get from the steam workshop, not from the Nexus. Valve helds them "hostage" ;)

But I solved this problem now by myself, so I will stop complaining. Missing DLC and mods aren't a problem any longer.:

You only need to copy the extensions dir from the steam game dir to the GOG game dir.

Done.

"Teladi Outpost", "Home of Light" and all workshop mods are now available
in the xtensions menu of the game.
