Hello

so...i've been patiently waiting for this one to release...and have played since the the start...
So i have some sugestions and i forecast that if you do not atend to them , the game will be badly recieved and poorly reviewed...so please hear me out...

-The character...well or the lack of it...no character traits, one liners, good or bad temper...nothing...just flat.....in all games, the character is the center, the main attraction, the catalyst or the solvent...but here and so far just a big nothing....not a growl, not a speech, not a cause....at least make it a hero or anti-hero but with charisma.

- the jumping mechanic...for gods sake, depending on a weapon to double jump and platforming, while fighting enemies , is infuriating...add a double jump to the jump button and make the blade a melee bind, like Duke Nukem mighty foot...meaning optional but helpfull.

- The platforming....the concept of platforming in the quake engine or quake games was optional and a way to secrets, not pathfinding to progress. if you want to make that kind of shooter platformer you must make the character much more agile and maneuverable. This character is very stiff and slides to much, creating a control problem while jumping and platforming and adding the god awfull double jump/blade mechanic.

- The weapons reload and firing...well just make the reload time much faster, so it can give more speed to the game play.
I see you want to mix some elements from diferent games in an engine made for just one kind of those...running and shooting...so i recommend you take more attention to the weapons and shooting....

-The artifacts...guys make them magical, not some gimmik like Apex Legends or Overwatch...you have a golden opportunity to make this game...the Quake 2 we never had...HP Lovecraft ambience with shooting...don't miss it.

- The enemies...so once again...the enemies are very quake like and the levels are much larger than the enemies need them for....so you overcompensated with numbers instead of agility and cunning...the enemies are very stiff + the slow shooting pace + the bad platforming...you have to decide if you want a quake game or a Dishonored clone in a engine that is not suitable for that kind of gameplay...

-The sound...well i like the drone like music so i can focus in immersion, but a theme song for each level and fighting moments wouldn't hurt...the sfx are ok , not epic...meaning something like the grunts bark of Quake...bet you know instantly what sound i'm talking about...thats what i mean memorable...

The game idea is great and i think you can still make it gold...but just decide, don't mix concept that practically don't play well together in this game engine. If you going for the boomer shooter , just look at Blood and Quake The Offering...if your going for Dishonored style...just look at Unreal, Painkiller or even Strafe.

Hope that at its release doesn't suffer from the symptoms like "jack of all trades, master of none"
Look i know its tough love comparing with other games, but thats what you're going for since the birth of the project, a nostalgia shooter.
So go for it and good luck.
